Delain, I've had boots from Next and got them in Wider feet and leg width :) but they don't do it with all designs.

Thanks Gilly, I'll have a look at the website. Not sure I could forgive myself for spending £85 on a pair of boots lol.

Quite a disturbed night last night again... the problem seems to be that she flails about so much in her sleep that she bangs quite heavily into the cot bed sides and that wakes her up :( Hopefully she won't be so bad if it ever gets made into a bed, but if she is she'll be on the floor every night!

    How is everyone today?

    Nice weather here today :)

If it's the long buckle boots at £85 then go for it. I'm drooling over them too. :happyhear

Hope you have a lovely time Becles.

I've ordered name labels for Joe. They're iron-on ones as I can't be doing with sewing, so hopefully I'll manage to label his things without burning my fingers! The nursery provide elasticated tags with his name on to go around his bottles, but I might also see about getting some labels for things like his powder pot.

I'm starting to worry that Joe's going to grow up with ADHD. He never stays still for more than a few seconds unless he's asleep. The book is working reasonably well at nappy changes, but we need to keep pointing to things in it to keep his attention focussed on it - not ideal when dealing with a stinky sloppy nappy!

I gave up buying boots from Next as I could never fit my tree trunks in their boots! Are the wide leg ones also wide fitting for the foot? I have narrow feet but chunky legs so getting boots is usually a real pain for me. I bought a pair of Dr Marten ankle boots for this winter (but not the lace up ones I had when I was a teenager!) and they are soooooo comfy. I can't wait for the weather to get colder so I can start wearing them.

If you'll wear them lots then I don't think £85 is outrageously expensive, delain. I spent £50 on a pair of slippers a few weeks ago! :rotfl: My excuse is that, because I work from home, I virtually live in my slippers so it's worth having good ones. They are sheepskin booties (sort of like short Uggs) and they are the loveliest thing ever!

I actually think £85 is decent too if they will see you through the winter. Especially with the winter we had last year, you can't go wrong with a good pair of boots. I think the boots are wide fitting for feet too Big Bird, not just legs. I'm not 100% sure though it was a good few years ago I got my wide fitting from Next.

I'd go for it too with the boots. A good pair of boots will get tons of wear. Bet they work out better value in the long run than any cheapo pair of sandals given the sporadic summers we have.

I'm going to need a winter wardrobe makeover, last year I was in maternity wear so everything will need replacing. If only I had the time for shopping - LO hates stores so I need a baby-free day for that.

Does anyone have an Angelcare monitor with the movement sensor? At what age did you/will you stop using the movement sensor bit? Joe seems to have taken to wedging himself into a corner when he sleeps and frequently sets the alarm off, which only serves to wake everyone up and it sometimes takes a while to settle him again. The risk of cot death must be fairly low by now, shouldn't it? I'm just not sure if I'm ready to let go of the reassurance it gives, even though it's driving me mad!
