    Hello all

Quiet on here at the moment, shame as a few weeks ago it was getting a little bit busier again!

L and I ahve been to visit my friend near Portsmouth today. Was a fun day, though a lot of time on trains and buses for a short time there, but it was worth it. She's about 11 weeks pg and told me as soon as she knew, I didn't realise she'd not told anyone else..feel very honoured! Now trying to work tonight but am so tired, has taken me all evening just to put one table in my document (oops!) I need to stop getting distracted by facebook and forums :D I have to get the first draft done by the end of next week, better hope L has decent naps tomorrow as DH is off Tues as well as Mon.

    Evening all,

Hope the smear went ok Becles.

Sounds like you got some bargains Delain!

Glad you had a nice day Rach.

My poor Poppy has a cold (as do I) and is feeling a bit sorry for herself bless her. She also had her 16 week jabs (at 18 weeks) and cried her eyes out, she gave the nurse a big evil. She is in bed now, hoping for a better night than the last couple.

Becles.. you know I think we should all take our daughters when we have smears.. half the problem is people dont mention these things.. it would be very educational.. I might take all mine next time I go.. so they realise it is not a taboo subject and the procedure.. Im sure a lot more people would go if it wasnt so taboo..

The cot mattress was lowered today.. after Squeak fell out this morning.. I have been saying to OH it needed doing for weeks.. well.. now it is done.. she is so brave, she barely cried.. Id still be wailing now lol

I got Tiddles a dress from redoute which came today it is gorgeous.. so soft and lovely.. she better like it!

The L and the S on my keyboard are only working when they think they might.. this lappy is seriously dying!

all the best aid plans and that... we now cant get the girls shoes tomorrow as we arent going to tesco... KH isnt having the girl next week so I cant go then either.. he has been telling me for weeks he is having them next week and now today suddenly think it is ok to keep them off school to take them on holiday.. I am absolutely NOT having it.. I wouldnt keep them off for a holiday.. and if I wanted to I would at least have the decency to discuss it with him first.. anyway.. he has shot himelf in both feet now because that nice compliant anything for a peaceful life woman has become mega-b!tch and is no longer accomodating or pleasant or understanding.. no is the new word in my vocabulary and unless I benefit from anything he wants I am not saying yes.. and tomorrow I am ringing the solicitor about a contact order.. and I might even initiate a CSA claim... regardless of the court order.. he had 56 days to sign the houe papers and took 4 months.. so I dont know if they will be accepted now.. he is so going to pay.. one way or another he will pay.

He disgusts me.. his attitude towards the children etc.. completely out of order.. I am also going to speak to the head at school when they go back and make it VERY clear that I do not condone him thinking it is ok to take them out of school.. and he is also being told in no uncertain terms tomorrow that he only reason I am not refusing to let them go I because they are looking forward to it and have talked about it for the last 5 months and not because he can get one over on me but because their happiness is more important to me than proving to him I have the power to say no.. however in future the answer is no...he has absolutely no right to keep them off school for anything!

Anyhoo.. contact order will ensure I get time off during the school holidays and they know what is going on..

    Morning

I think I will either take Charlotte when she's older or at least explain the process to her. I was absolutely terrified when I went for my first smear.

The more children you've had though, the less bothered you get about medical staff poking about down there. A brass band could have marched through while I was being done yesterday and I wouldn't have batted an eyelid :o:rotfl:

Smear didn't go well. I've got cervical ectropion again. She could see it as soon as she looked in and it started bleeding when she poked it. Got to see what the smear result says but she said I might get called back for a colposcopy and a biopsy, and they may decide to remove it. I've had it before and it wasn't cancerous but they took it off as a precaution just in case.

Day off work today - yay! Was going to go out but the weather is pants and I'm tired. Think I'll just stay home and potter and catch up on odd jobs.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

Hope everything goes ok Becles with the smear results.

Ive got an improtu day off work today as wee one has very runny nappies so cant go to nursery.
phoned work this morning but they weren't too helpful so i would need to take an emergency holiday but depends if time available today or if not work it back.
I dont mind taking it as a holiday so i dont lose out on wages. Will not be able to work time back though as dont have childcare for any other time than when i do work!

Weather is pants here too Becles, we had loads and loads of rain in the night and it's still murky now and a bit wet even for the park with a baby.

Plus OH exploded the buggy tyre and I can't take it out on 2 wheels :o Hopefully the replacement tube and tyre will arrive today, so we can take a trip to the park later if it doesn't rain again.

Twin2 is well and truly in the dog house. Both of them were asked to sort their mess out this morning as DD1 finally went back in her room yesterday... they lied and said it was done, I don't know why they thought they'd get away with it I always check. Twin1 had been doing it and Twin2 hadn't, though they both lied.

Anyway whilst they were trying to argue with me that they didn't have to do it (thanks KH) Twin2 threw a toy down the stairs and hit her sister in the head  so Twin2 now has the joy of finishing it all by herself as I can't now send them both up there as all hell will break loose and they will start beating each other.

At least she has actually now realised that I meant what I said and she's staying up there till it's done because she's not done anything to help, been cheeky and hurt her sister. She has now stopped moaning and started tidying. It's not even that much as Twin1 had already done quite a bit of it... Oh the joys of room sharing children.

Think in a bit will put a DVD on for them, we don't do that often and it's something they enjoy.

Delain.. yours are missing school too then? I think the summer holidays are just far too cruel to the children.. they just crave routine and it is horible for them being off so long. :( Mine are kicked out of the door to KHs.. Im sure he ages 5 years a week... I dont think I look good this week but my goodness he looks old!

I told mine to bring their washing down before they left and only DD3 did.. so they are in trouble when they get back! The girls also picked up the toys from their room.. they are vacuuming it when they get back as well.

Poor Squeak was stood up the front door crying after them, it was heart breaking she really misses them .. at least she will soon have her own little sibling who will also be left behind.. poor peapod :( .. She is shattered too this morning.. and teething.. so we have nasty nappies she would only have 1 bowl of cereal and she is now back in bed for a nap but isnt napping.. she was standing against me falling asleep so she is tired.. minx!

I am hoping to get the landing cleared of chests of drawers this weekend while I have no horrids here to interfere.. and the last few boxes out of the spare room.

Boy am I glad that wheel didn't arrive, because we would have gone out, and now the heavens have opened and we have thunder and all sorts :rotfl:

Everyone is having their lunch now, then I don't know what lol.

I seem to still have so much to do... But that bedroom did get finished finally. At some point OH is going to have to take Squeak to see DSD so I can sort our room out, at the moment there's either no one to watch Squeak or she needs to sleep in there before I'm done!

We have that horrible wet drizzly rain that gets under your umbrella!

I have the problem of the baby needing a nap when i am on a roll too.. it is so annoying! And at the moment I need to clear the landing but cant do it quietly enough so am having to sit and knit instead... I guess at least the binbag of wool will disappear quickly!
