Rach I tried dressing gowns with my youngest son but they were just too much fun to undo and take off repeatedl so never kept him very warm! I ended up buying him the fleecy all in one sleep suits but the footless ones as the ones with feet always twisted round and ended up tripping him up constantly. Asda do really roomy ones that leave lots of space for heavy weight pyjamas underneath and they are usually very reasonably priced.0

My sister bought my LO a pair of brushed cotton pyjamas, with a matching dressing gown and teddy in 12-18 months the week she was born. She said she couldn't resist and that was the smallest size. This talk of dressing gowns made me think of them and I can't wait to see her in them in a few months.
It was from Primark if that's any help. I think they do children's dressing gowns.
My LO has a runny nose and the amount of snot coming out of her is unreal. She was dressed in a new top for my mum to collect her this morning and 10 minutes later there was green snot all over the top. She is having difficulty breathing at night and waking panicking. Is there anything I can do to clear her nose?0 -
Morning
I used to put a drop of Olbas Oil on the chest of their babygro when they had cold and it seemed to help. It didn't stain the babygro and washed out.
I also used to clear their nose out with a bit of twisted tissue. If you poke it up their nostril and then squash their nose from the outside, all the snot sticks on the tissue and you can pull it out. It's a bit minging picking your babies nose for them but it helps!
Had a good day yesterday and the bairns really enjoyed themselves
Nothing exciting planned for today. Taking the boys for trainers this morning and got some broken drawers to glue back together. Going to sort through the boys clothes later and fling the tatty stuff and try and work out what uniform I need to buy.
Have a good day all xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
I don't know about baby sizes but Primark certainly do children's dressing gowns, as do store twentyone (QS) and Tesco! My lot have had a few QS ones, and considering they're quite reasonably priced they wash well. I usually get them a new one for Christmas but will have to be earlier this year.
Squeak has one in 9-12 months that came from Sainsburys and wasn't too expensive.
It really is starting to feel like Autumn now! Not sure how I feel about that lol.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Morning all,
I used some saline spray on Poppy a couple of days ago as she had a cold and seemed to help.
Dressing gowns are really cute,OH bought one for Poppy the other day to wear in winter.
Had a few awful nights with LO, she will not settle in her cot. She either wakes up straight away or about 20 mins later. I have been spending the nights getting her back to sleep puttinhg her back in and then up again. Hope it doesn't last much longer.0 -
Wendz Squeak was the same with regard to waking up... she's better now although sometimes she'll grumble in the night and I put her back to bed, since she's learnt now that she doesn't get out of bed (although she does come in with us in the mornings) she's learning that there's a difference between morning cuddles and joining us at 2am

We've been relatively cold free - Squeaks only had one! Though she did catch the nasty tummy bug that hit all of us when she was about Poppy's age.
Wait until school goes back though. Germarama. We'll all have colds by September the 10th
I'm currently just hoping that the school uniform from t'internet arrives soon, I don't want to be sewing in name labels on the last night.
Oh Becles we've got to do trainers soon. Must be quite expensive when they are in big sizes! Mine need them for PE at school so I'm only going to get cheap ones for one hour a week!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

CL, are you propping LO's mattress up from underneath? That should help a bit.
Rach, I'm jealous of you giving up breastfeeding naturally! Still no sign of it happening here and it's playing havoc with my AF which doesn't help when TTC. I don't think it really matters how long you feed for as long as you do the first 6 months.
DD caught hand food and mouth disease on Wednesday. She wasn't too badly affected but we had a few sleepless nights as the sores in her mouth made feeding really hard. Last night there was a party so we all struggled sleeping, I think it was about two it finally finished and I got off to sleep but DD decided to wake up at 6am, so OH got up with her then after they had had some breakfast they came back to bed and DD is still asleep now!! I guess she's no going to want her usual nap at 12:30 then.

Glad to hear she isn't the only one with waking up habits! I try to leave her in her cot as she usually isn't crying just whinging but then last night she started trying to roll into the side of the cot and kept banging her head silly thing.
Hope your little one is ok Jennynoo.0 -

It is for Josh as he's in a men's size 10 for shoes! They want trendy brand names too, so I give them a limit in advance and say they can have anything under the limit which they seem happy with. They play out in them as well as use them for school so I pay up to £25 for James and £40 for Josh, as although it's a lot to shell out, they do last longer over time than cheap trainers.
Managed to get blazers this morning but left it too late for the other stuff again
They all have blue shirts which are not very popular and the boys have grey trousers and Charlotte has a navy pinafore.
Managed to get the rest online apart from Josh's and Charlotte's shirts, so I've said he might have to make do with his old ones for a few weeks unless I can find some in stores when I'm out and about for work this week. Charlotte can wear her gingham dresses until October week, so it's less urgent for her. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Thanks all for the advice on colds. I was in Sainsbury's at lunchtime and they had dressing gowns in baby sizes (the one on top was 9-12 months) and 25% off today.
Has anyone bought any of the Hello Kitty range of clothes at Sainsbury's? I got a little hoodie for my 3yo niece and the sizes looked tiny (and she's quite chubby) so I held an age 5 up against a TU top for age 3 years and they looked the same size. I picked up an age 6 and it still didn't look like it would be too big for her.0
