    *delurks to say hi*

Hi everyone! I have fallen into my old ways of lurking and not posting. My only excuse is LO is much more mobile and I spend most of my time keeping him away from the back of the television (his favourite spot!). It is blocked off but he has managed to overcome all obstacles so far. Clever wee monkey! I caught between admiration for his climbing/wriggling skills and frustration that he won't stay away from it!

Becles - glad you had a good time. We go away in a few weeks time. Am really looking forward to it but it also means I have to return to work when we come back. Boo!!

Delain - hope squeak is ok now, We have had 2 rough nights with Chunky (no sleep last night at all) as he has a bad cold at the mo. He's just not himself and keeps waking up cos his nose is bunged and he hasn't figured out that he can breathe through his mouth. I feel sorry for him at the minute but its daytime - certainly wasn't feeling too sorry for him last night. Am a bad mummy!

Rach - we're the same! Chunky will take a few mouthfuls of cold milk (am using cows milk as am too lazy to sort out formula) during the day but much prefers water. Am still feeding him in the morning and at bedtime myself and he gets youghurt and cheese during the day. He has porridge in the morning made up with milk so I think he gets enough - at least I hope he does! I have never been brave enough to allow him to eat his porridge with his fingers! He's messy enough without that. I did give him his spoon with some potato on it last night and he managed to get it in his mouth without dropping it! Hurrah! He managed a few more spoonfuls brfore boredom set in and the next spoonful was flung backwards over his head! Hopefully he's got the idea now!

On the subject of nurserys etc. I would love to send DS to a CM but we don't know anyone in the area unfortunately. The nursery he is going to has a lot of good reports etc and we are fine with him going there. I'm hoping it won't be for long as we have the intention of trying for another one soon (though it did take several years to have LO) and I will then need a career break as we couldn't afford 2 in nursery. Trying to pay as much of the mortgage as possible now so we have options if that ever happens. And if it doesn't then at least we've lowered the mortgage and we've been lucky enough to have 1 child!

Have to go to hospital today for a muscle biopsy - am starting to get nervous now! Anyone ever had one and can reassure me?

did anyone watch This morning, um, this morning? That bird who was in the papers over the weekend was on saying why, on £30k, per year, she needs more help with her 10 kids.....urgh, why have that many if you can't afford them?

My Thoughts exactly Vroom - she didnt even see anything wrong with it. No wonder this country is in such a state. The 30k that she gets in benefits which apparently isnt enough for her to look after her brood is more than double my tax paying wages. Grrrr makes me angry.
    Hope your doing well vroom?

Havent posted for a while but have been reading. S is now 6 months old and im getting sorted to going back to work in October :( Hope ladies and babies are well.

Did you go to Pedros? :D

No - we didn't eat or drink out as we were all inclusive and I didn't have much spending money so we just stuck to the hotel :o

Lovely island and I am guilty of looking in an estate agents window and dreaming :D

I didn't like milk as a child (still don't) and my mum had to do a milk chart for me when i got a star when i drank milk.

It was the school milk that put me off. In my last year at infants, the milk would be delivered to the classroom first thing, but we didn't drink it until we all sat on the carpet for a story just before home time. The milk had stood on a bench all day and it was warm and minging. I used to beg my Mam to write me a note saying I was allergic to milk, but she wouldn't :o

I like the milk at school now as they've got a little chiller in the classroom so at least it's kept cold until they drink it.
Here I go again on my own....

I wish i had £30k a year, that would make for a happy Kylie :)

Dont think my Foof could cope with another 8 exiting babies. It would probably explode.

BLEURGH!!! and the scummy film it leaves in the glass *wretch* Squeak wont drink it either.. she has loads of cheese, yoghurts, puddings etc to get it in her.

thats excellent news Wendz, when do you go back?
Mine work ended my contract whilst still on mat leave, but luckily I've found another part time one. Only a few hours a week so it'll fit round the 3 days I'm at uni and OH can watch baba x

Is Poppy going to nursery or CM? x
