    Hi Ladies,

Really need a bit of advice!! For the past 3 nights my little one has woken up in the early hours as his nappy has leaked. We are using Huggies Super Dry Size 4. These should be fine up to 30lbs and my little boy is not even 20lbs yet.

He is very wriggly and active. Any advice if anyone has had a similar problem? Any advice on other nappies? I was thinking Pampers Active Fit?

    Thanks

Hi bargainprincess, I can't really help as we have never had nappies leaking at night. We use active fit at the moment but have used huggies super dry in the past. Is the nappy too big therefore not tight enough around the leg? Others can probably give you more advice suitable for boys - not my area of expertise!

    Hi bargainprincess.

I would check the leg fit as well. All of mine were skinny babies and I found they stayed in nappy sizes past the recommended max weight as they fit better than the correct size.

Also check his willy is pointing down! If it's pointing sideways or upwards, they are more likely to leak.

Depending on his body shape he might just need another brand of nappy. It's a bit trial and error sometimes finding the best one for their shape.

I find that huggies leak sometimes but pampers have never leaked. My son is long and lean so maybe pampers is a better fit for skinnier babies

Same here, skinny babies (up to Squeak anyway) and have had trouble with huggies and pampers have been fine x

Also found Tesco own to be very good, and boots if that helps!

  • I've always found Huggies to leak and my LO is a chunky monkey. I buy Pampers when there is a good offer on but I have found both Tesco and Asda own brand very good.

    Morning all,

I find huggies to leak as well, pampers seem to give her nappy rash. I am a fan of sainsburys own brand here!

Has anyone got any nice plans for the weekend? WE are going down to southampton to visit family, is OH's littlest sisters 18th so we have a meal or bbq depending on weather.

    Morning

I found Huggies or Tesco Essentials best on my lot!

Pampers leaked with the boys, but they were ok on Charlotte and I used to buy them occasionally if they worked out to be the cheapest.

Feel sick and full of nerves and excitement this morning. It's Sunderland v Newcastle and I've got match tickets and I can't wait to get there. Everyone send Sunderland vibes please :D

Have a good day all xx

Re: nappies, we use Huggies super dry at night and they've been fine. I used to get Pampers but they smelled awful by morning so I switched. Joe's long and skinny too. It does seem very hit and miss with nappies, so I guess just trial and error to find one that suits. I did try some of Lidl's own brand nappies a couple of weeks ago and they seemed really good. I only used them during the day though.

Joe moves around a lot before he finally goes to sleep and has started escaping from his Mothercare sleeping bag. He's OK in his grobag one, I think it's because that has 2 poppers at each shoulder while the Mothercare one only has one. I got some more Mothercare sleeping bags in the thicker version for when the weather gets colder so it'll be a pain if he's going to be escaping from those as I took them out of the packaging so can't take them back. I guess I'll just have to ebay them if they are no good.

Joe had his second settling in session at the nursery yesterday afternoon. This was the first one where I had to leave him there. He was really upset when I got back and I felt like such a bad mother :( They assured me he'd only got upset in the last 15 minutes or so (he was there for 2 hours) and he was getting tired, so hopefully he'll be OK. He has another settling in session next week but that'll be a morning one so fingers crossed he'll enjoy himself more if he's feeling more awake.

Good luck to Sunderland, Becles. I'll have a dilemma on Wednesday as Liverpool is the team I've always supported, but Exeter is my adopted home city and I do have a soft spot for Exeter City.

The weather in Bournemouth looked awful delain, so glad you weren't caught up in it.

It's raining here today. Not too much of a problem though as we're both off on holiday next week so I want to get all of the housework out of the way over the weekend so we can have fun on our days off :)
