Thank you ladies it looks like sleeping bags may be the way ahead for us after all. My sons never moved up their beds they turned sideways and curled up against the foot of their cribs so this is all new to me!

£42k per year?? thats a joke, what a mockery this country is. I hope the government force her to look for work - her youngest two are one year old and two year old so she should be made to get a job. What a disgrace.

There were another family of 12 in today who don't claim nowt, much more inspiring!

Weather's awful here, torrential rain, thunder, floods, the lot. Traffic news makes for scary reading, and the older girls are out today with my nan Can't get hold of them so they may well still be driving round in circles.

Fortunately the rain does seem to have eased off now, hopefully it will stay that way.

Had a fiasco yesterday, went to get the school jumpers and I was told surprise surprise they didn't have them in the twins' size *sigh* Did get 2 for DD1 though, almost £40

They have ordered them in and are keeping 4 for me, and I've been online and ordered all the polo shirts and PE shirts, that was £60

It's getting out of hand, seriously. I'm glad I did all the bags, trousers etc a couple of weeks go, there is no way we could have done it all at once.

Squeak has just gone back to bed, bless her the thunder woke her up last time.

Can't believe how grown up she is, my baby isn't a baby anymore :(

She picks up a phone now (toy/real one/rolled up pair of socks lol) and says hello, it's supercute :D

    And she's very nearly walking.

Think getting all her tiny clothes out to wash some to take in for the new baby is what brought all this on lol

That's jogged my memory delain. I need to sort out who needs what uniform and get it sorted out. I know the boys both need blazers as their old ones look like they've been in a fight with a barbed wire fence. No idea what they do with them.

Josh has hurt the big ligament that goes round the inside of his knee. He's got to massage it every day and do some exercises to keep it flexible, exercises to build up his thigh muscle to take the pressure off his knee and use the balance exercises on the Wii to strengthen it. He's got to keep off football for a couple of weeks which is like a major catastrophe to him. Hopefully it should settle down within a couple of weeks.

  • Good you had a nice time Becles.

    Morning

That's a scary amount of rain delain. What's it like this morning?

It's clear blue sky and sunshine here, but a friend who lives about 14 miles away said it's overcast and raining there?!

Off to work this morning with a couple of quick calls to do, then got masses of audio typing and stuff to keep me busy. Charlotte wants to blow bubbles and do some writing practice this afternoon.

Think the late nights from holiday have caught up with her. She dropped off in the car on the way home from my Mam's yesterday afternoon and I let her have a half hour kip on the sofa while I was cooking tea. Woke her to eat but she was grotty and just faffed about with her food which isn't like her. Then she said she was tired and asked to go to bed. She was fast asleep by 6pm, and slept through till 8am this morning. She seems happier this morning so it must have done her good.

Have a good day all xx

Blue sky and sunshine here today too :D More rain forecast for the weekend but not a huge amount. It was a bit scary to see the road with all the bus stops all blown and the water going in the bus. Glad I didn't go out yesterday, especially as it would have been on the bus. The traffic is horrendous with the air show anyway never mind all that. It took my nan three hours to get home, and that's usually 30 minutes tops. The air show is probably why so many people had cameras and all the photos are of Bournemouth lol.

Had a phone call yesterday and the shop have got the girl's cardigans now, so we'll go and get those, have a mooch around town, might even take them out for lunch if they behave. They need new trainers, I was told yesterday our clarks stockist has an offer on trainers so I'll call and see what they say. If no offers or sales it'll be cheapy jobs, my nan has just spent £100 on school shoes yesterday and once they go back to school they honestly don't wear their trainers that much.

    Whats everyone up to today?

ETA Becles sometimes the twins do that when they get tired, they've been known to take themselves off to bed at 5.30 if they really need it.

    morning all

Delain I saw loads of pics on fb from friends in bournemouth last night! scarey!

L has finally gone off for a nap, he's too busy sitting and standing to want to go off at the moment! I was caught up in a 30 minute work skype so had to just leave him chatting to himself but once I laid him back down he went off quickly, i knew he was tired!

I picked loads of blackberries and a few apples yesterday so am going to make jam today - found a great microwave recipe. I need to sterilise some jars and then once L is up we'll nip out and see if we can get any more apples. I've also been organised and stuck a casserole in the slow cooker for tea...and I've cleaned the bathroom! Go me!

No real plans for today, guess I might take L to the park and maybe for a coffee and fruit toast out. I've almost spent up for the month so will see if i can afford it! I also need to work out what meals I can make with the food we have in the cupboards/freezer!
