    My Squeak likes:
    • soft cheese sandwiches (cut into 4)
    • apple, in bits or a whole one
    • strawberries (she has these whole so they are less slippery)
    • cucumber
    • tomatoes
    • cooked broccoli
    • cooked pasta, I do fusilli
    • macaroni cheese (OK so it's messy but she loves it)
    • toast
    • carrot sticks
    • cheese
    • chunky bread soaked in tomato/veg/any soup (but remove all clothes from the baby first lol that one is really messy)
    • fish fingers :o
    • sausages
    • cooked spaghetti
    • raw pepper
    • pizza ( we do pizza bread in my house - where we slice a tiger loaf and top with tom puree, cheese sweetcorn etc the older 3 love it. Obviously I do the baby's!)
    • cooked veg of any kind, Squeak has whole roast dinners as finger food, just the same as ours except I cut her meat small.
    • rice cakes
I hope some of that is useful to you, I'm sure someone will add more in a minute!
One of her favourites is jacket potato, beans and salad, and although it's not technically finger food, I give her a spoon, she tries to use it, and she makes a good go at eating most of it with her hands.

Wow thanks Delain, what a great list. We had a roast dinner yesterday and DD had a good go at some roast potatoes, carrots (not too keen) and some Yorkshire pud! Was lamb though so didnt give her any meat. I can get my head around chicken but not other meats yet!

Will try some of the ideas on your list - love the idea of the pizza. She has toasted muffins sometimes so could try with that.

Squeak has cereal too, she likes everything so far, I forgot about soft fruits like nectarines and peaches, but she loves those too.

I don't think anyone told the weather it's meant to be Summer. We had a dramatic thunderstorm last night with hammering down rain, lasted over an hour, started OK this morning now it's clouded over and miserable. Can see me having to dash to get the washing in off the line in a minute.

I need someone to come and clean my windows, but do the insides too. I can't get to my kitchen window as it's above the sink unit which is already sinking into the floor, so not sturdy enough to stand on. It now hasn't been done for so long it's starting to look like privacy glass!

Oh I'm still waiting for bro and his gf who said they were coming for the day... They may even still be alseep, lazy sods.

I'm usually a lurker but have a question about weaning.
Just starting to try things with lumps but made my little one sick.
Is this common or does it mean he's not ready yet?
    Thanks

    morning all

I'm just watching the news about the rioting and looting. Me and Sir M are scarily close, sir m closer than me. And others I know are even closer, one right in the middle of Hackney with a tiny baby :(. What a mess in the middle of what are already difficult times. The glaziers are going to be kept busy!

Well L was awake v early again, 5ish. Tried leaving him a bit but he obviously wasn't going back to sleep. I've been researching that it may be that he needs his first nap slightly later (usually has it at 9, earlier at the moment sometimes when he's been awake so early.). Today we're going to see my friend in north london as we're buying a carseat from her. We're also dropping in on another friend who has 6 week old twins!

hi winnie - sorry i don't know about lumps etc as we just did finger foods from the start. Do stick around x
