It is horrible - I was on the phone to my old school friend yesterdy and he had to go because he needed to be on the phone to his gf who had to come through it to get home from work.
It's that sort of thing that makes me glad I live where I do. That and the fact that I think I'd go mad if I lived in a big town!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

My OH is a police officer in London and was meant to finish at 11pm last night and got home at 8 am! He is back in at 3 today. He hasn't been too involved but his work mate got run over (thankfully ok!).
Rach and Sir M- hope things are ok where you are, stay safe!
I think Poppy is definately getting the hang of rolling, put her on her front five times in a row this morning and each time she just rolled straight onto her back.0 -
We're ok thankfully we live otherside of all the trouble (but only about a mike and half a way, plus we drive through there alll the time). My DH rang me on way to work and said his train smelt of smoke!!
Glad your DH is ok, Wendz must be exhausting for all of them!
Congrats Delain!!
Re finger foods t eats everything with his fingers, apart from yoghurt - even noodles (simple rice noodles are his fave) and rice (this is very messy and goes everywhere). One of his and my favs are muffin pizzas, easy peasy with tomato puree, cheese and whatever else you fancy! I like the idea of tiger bread ones though!Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

The tiger bread ones are lovely
and for grown up dinners you can slice them lengthways and have huge tiger pizza lol. It also works quite well with baguettes sliced lengthways then cut to size.
Squeak can now stand on her own for short periods and she pushes her push along walker around now as well

I couldn't believe what we were watching on the news last night. I have family who live right near Camden, and my best friend lives just outside Croydon-Must be really scary for those who are right in the middle of it all x
Well last night we had the best night we've had with Max-he slept for 10 hours!!!!!! He went from 6.45pm-4.40am, had a feed then got up just before 7. I'm hoping tonight he can manage to about 6ish-lat night was a 2 hour improvement on the previous night and that ws a 2 hour improvement on the night before that, so fingers crossed!!
Oh and i've decided whoever thought it was a good idea to give kids 6 weeks off in the summer must be someone without kids!!! They are driving me crazy!!!!!! Last week wasn't so bad as DH was off and we went ot his parents and had some days out at the beach and legoland, but he's on a course til weds thi week, then off the last part of the week, but he has diy stuff to do-at least i have another pair of hands about lol Hopefully next week on his day off (and if the weather co-operates) we will have a day out t the beach with friends of ours and their 2 boys0 -
It actually hails from simpler times when children were needed to help with the harvest over the summer. There has been talk of changing it so the holidays are in 2 week blocks throughout the year. Don't hold your breath though, they were discussing it when I left school in 2001!
We are only planning a trip t the park today, and a more involved outing tomorrow. I may bute the bullet and take them to soft play one day because now Squeak is toddling she can play in the baby bit, and the older 3 pretty much amuse themselves there

Scary stuff isn't it, we live very close to it all too, OH saw lots of yoofs gathering on our High St when he was on his way home last night, but fortunately we don't have a JDSport or a Curry's so we were left alone - for now.
Let's hope the police have a better grip tonight. My LO slept obliviously thru from 8pm - 6am. Not that we slept much, keeping an eye on the news and twitter. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
I ordered all their uniform online from M&S.. just needs names writing in now.. which takes me about 4 days! I need the 6 weeks hols just to get that done lol.
DS2 is back 4 weeks today.. and the others 4 weeks tomorrow..
... We need to go buy shoes.. though I am trying to get Squeak walking so I can buy her some at the same time.. though I have a feeling Granny Interferon will demand she takes her... NO!!! MY baby remember!!! My mother usually buys their first shoes anyway..
.. She stood on her own for about 5 seconds today so walking is not imminent at all! LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
