morning all
supermaiden - welcome. lots of good advice already. I think it's unrealistic to expect a baby to go 4 hours without feeds at that stage - some might but you can't force them to. L is breastfed and had a patch of sleeping pretty well for about 3 weeks when he was tiny but then didn't sleep through until 8 months! It is tiring and hard but looking back you do forget it pretty quickly! We do use a dummy and I don't regret it, it is a real comforter for L. he only has it at sleep times (and sometimes to occupy him when I'm trying to change his nappy!).
Don't really have any plans for today. DH is saying he wants to go for a walk. we've almost finished the Thames Path (all 185 miles of it!) but the last bit means going into central london and walking to the thames barrier. I just can't really be bothered going into london bridge though, i've got a really busy week next week travelling 3 days. And I now only have 4 weeks until I start work.
went to see a childminder yesterday. She seems really nice and has an excellent set up and an outstanding ofsted. there are just a couple of things that concern me. I'm going to see a couple more next week and some nurseries too. MiL joked the other day that she could drop down to 4 days a week to ahve L one day - if she would do it would be brilliant!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Morning all,
We have been away this week to the lake district for a few days. We have family up there so was nice to see them. Was very busy though and think we tired poor Poppy out. She slept well at night while we were away, only waking once which is very good for her. She has also started going to sleep earlier (still not a normal time but an improvement!) . Really hoping it will last and wasn't just a fluke while we were away.
Supermaiden - Poppy isn't sleeping the whole night at 15 weeks, she has better nights than others but has gone through some stages of keeping waking. Hopefully your little one will settle down soon for you. I would agree to try and get the feeds in in the day.

Hello!
Guess I should pop in here from time to time, Dylan is now 7 weeks and thriving! He doesn't give me much time to myself so visits here will be limited! He is quite a good sleeper, normally a good feeder (FF) but been a bit out of routine with the hot weather...roll on cooler days!
He is still in his moses basket...just, I need need to clear some crap in bedroom and put his cot up, its only a travel cot that he will be in so won't take long....the clearing will though when I have time lol.

Evening ladies. I have been lurking since I had my wee boy nearly 13 weeks ago (where on earth is the time going!!). I also have a wee girl who will be 4 in a couple of weeks time. Some of you I remember from the ttc and pregnancy threads
I haven't posted for a while as i've not had much to say LOL and as time has gone on since having DS I keep thinking "i should have posted before now":o
Anyhoo Delains post about 3 wheelers has caught my eye, we have just moved out into the country and are looking at getting a 3 wheeler eventally, so any recommendations?
I can highly, highly recommend a mountain buggy, or the cheaper option of the nipper 360....Both are fab xxUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

congratulations Delain, it will be fun in your house when they all get periods together in future years lol.
I'm so tired, went to bed about 11 last night and just couldn't drop off to sleep, then at 1.30ish people were making loads of noise having an argument last night. Then L was awake before 6. *yawn* I'm now just sitting on the sofa whilst he plays as dh got up yesterday so it was my turn today.
I'm starting to think about doing a little party for L's first birthday. Just with sir m and t and a few other friends. The problem is not knowing if we'll have moved by then and the (im)practicalities of doing it in this flat if not. I may float the idea with the in laws of doing it at theirs. DH hates his own birthday and isn't bothered about other people'smiserable git.
what are everyones plans for today? we'll probably take L to the swings this am and then have a quick coffee, we're at in laws for sunday lunch and then it'll just be relax and play. I need to do about an hour's work this evening too and also email my work back as they've finally come up with something to sort out the massive mess they've got me in!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0
