Morning everyone.
Good luck with the scan Delain x
Mit3 I know exactly what you mean. Josh really is like a little boy now rather than a baby! Had him weighed on monday and he is a BIG boy! He weighs 21.6 lbs now, and in fact the HV at the weigh in clinic asked if she could measure his height as he is so big now.
He is 91st centile on both height and weight, so she said I may be on track for a 6 footer for a son!:rotfl:
She said he looks a lot bigger than your average 6.5 month old, and asked me what I was feeding him etc. It's all healthy stuff, so I'm not too worried. Just dropped one of his milk feeds too.
We start 10 weeks of swimming lessons today which should be fun
Hope everyone is having a good day so far, thank god for the rain is all I can say. Way too muggy here last night!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -

We're going for weigh-in tomorrow, I might ask if/when they start measuring height. Lots of people say my LO is long and skinny, but I don't see it, she just looks teeny in every respect to me.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0

Ahhh, what a beauty you have there Apricot.
That garage looks good rach, might be a good one to put away for Joe's birthday.
And I know exactly how you feel MI3 and MV with babies growing up so quick. Joe mastered sitting and crawling within a week and then another week or so later he was pulling himself up to standing. I was a little bit sad, wondering where my baby had gone
I've ordered him a vtech walker which was supposed to be for his birthday but as he spends most of his time pulling himself up to standing I think he might as well have it when it arrives as he should get plenty of use out of it.
I have the day off on Monday so am going to get him weighed at the baby clinic. He's not been weighed since before Easter with me being back at work. He's a big lad though - we're fairly sure he weighs more than his cousin Lilly who's over a year older than him! I think Joe is definitely on track for being a strapping 6-footer. I'm almost 6' tall and have brothers who are well over 6' and he seems to be taking after my side of the family if the rate at which he's growing out of clothes is anything to go by
I just hope he's not going to end up with huge feet and struggle to get shoes to fit, they already look loads bigger than other babies' feet.
Aha, brioche is another one to add to the list of things to try with Joe. Though he doesn't seem too keen on chocolate - odd child!
He does however love Co-Op's fancy gruyere and poppy seed breadstick things. He was most annoyed when I'd only let him have one yesterday, but they are a bit salty so I can't let him have too many. I'll have to see if I can find a recipe for something similar.
Good luck today delain. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
squeak isnt keen on brioche.. and she eats anythin.. I think it is just too dry.
DS1 had massive massive feet and is now a 10.. everyone said he would be massive but he is a midget at 5ft 7! Squeak has huge feet but she is going to be quite tall anyway looking at her.. she has the same body shape as OHs family so she may be the 1 who isnt a Santa elf!
We got Squeak the vtech walker and she got it before her birthday too.. they were half price in mothercare when I ordered ours.. we got her the leapfrog scout puppy thing as well which looked good and had good reviews... the rest of her stuff is away for christmas.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Hope the rain held off for you Becles
I feel like daisy the cow today, DD wants to feed every hour but only for 5 mins at a time after which she falls fast asleep and even changing her nappy etc isn't keeping her awake!
Good night last night though, she slept 12am - 5am and then 5.30 - 8.30 so can't complain too much!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0 -
Aw nice one Apricot what a clever girl Lily!

It's frustrating when they feed like that, I had it with DD who cluster fed in the evenings and would constantly fall asleep. Apart from once, J has never cluster fed thank goodness. I'm really sore today though, I was on antibiotics when J was a couple of days old and he got thrush in his mouth and me on my nips, the medication did clear it up at the time but it has come back and is proving a pita to get rid of this time....it's so painful!

It's Dunstanburgh Castle on the Northumberland coast:
http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/daysout/properties/dunstanburgh-castle/
It's a few miles east of Alnwick and a few miles south of Seahouses.
Had a good day out. Didn't get the weather we wanted and we got a bit soggy, but that didn't spoil the day. Bairns and dogs really enjoyed it and it's been a really good birthday.
Had a picnic in the castle grounds and had a good walk around the ruins, then travelled into Seahouses and had fish and chips before we came home. They're the best fish and chips ever
Here I go again on my own....0 -
Sounds lovely becles, glad you enjoyed it! I went on a school trip weekend to seahouses!
