Squeak here can manage a very wobbly minute lol.
My nan very kindly is going to buy the older girls their school shoes.
It's the logo'd stuff that's the problem, DD1 has had 2 new skirts and 2 pairs of trousers and hers which are still like new just too small have been passed down.
I need to buy 4 cardigans at £16.50 each, and 2 jumpers at £15.50 each. They also need the T shirts as DD1 has managed to get big black marks on hers, and they are £8.50 each so not going to be cheap to buy enough for 3! I don't know how many to get, although I am going to get a good few of the similar QS ones, as I'm not buying them 5 logo'd ones each.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I dont get logod anything.. it is a complete fraud the price they charge.. tesco value polo shirts so I dont mind putting them in the ragbag after 6 months. DD5 had fence paint, school paint, markers, general filth and staining on ALL of hers.. Shame you cant use any 5-6 stuff I have 2 binbags going.. trousers, pinafores, skirts, cardies .. and ALL the socks and pants are going as well.. they are all having 30 pairs of new socks, 20 pairs of pants and the old stuff is going.. they WILL be easy to pair up! lol.
I have started on coats now too.. Squeak and Dot done.. I need to get the older ones to try theirs but I think DD4 and DD5 need new ones.. DD3 is ok..
THEN.. I start on bags and pencil cases and contents!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I have bought all the backpacks and 2 lunchboxes, I just gave a job lot of 4/5 and 5/6 to my neighbour who has 2 girls also with the same colour summer dresses although different schools. Twins are now in 7/8 and DD1 is in 10 years ish.
New baby can wear Squeak's coat in 0-3 months, Squeak will probably need one although Daddy did buy her a spotty bodywarmer in Sainsbury's the other week.
I have checked all the older girls coats (with all that rain they've needed them lol) and they will be OK for this winter.
They don't really need pencil cases yet in any meaningful way thankfully but they have some anyway and my mum has stationery coming out of her ears and said don't buy any
We just did the pants chucking too... I'm glad DD1 has got her CAMHS referral, I really do think there is something up with her, her stubborn refusal to carry out any request relating to personal hygiene is worrying, especially since she has started getting BO. I hope this doesn't mean that puberty is imminent! Anyway her pants are all destroyed because she just doesn't wipe and she has skidders that would make a trucker cringe and lots of them haven't come clean.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

As DS2 i just starting school in sept, he needs everything, as he is a lot smaller than DS1 was when he started school  Luckily I got given some trousers for him by the mum of his best friend-her DS1 is my DS1's best friend and her younger one is bigger than her eldest was so the trousers wont fit him!
So I need to get him the logo jumper (I get 2 so one can be in the wash) some polo shirts, book bag, shoes and new pants and socks. MIL got him a new lunchbox, and his coat from last year still has room to grow in lol
DS1 needs some trousers and polo shirts (his jumpers from last year still fit him) shoes, new pants and socks and he will need a new cost this year, although his old one will do for a few weeks. I find that costs only need replacing every other year as do the school jumpers-luckily they both only need 1 of the 2 this year lol
I'm waiting until nearer the end of the hols to get the trousers and polo shirts as sainsburys usually have 25% off clothing at ome point before going back to school and DH is a manager there so I get staff discount :money:I might get the shoes next week, then at least thats done, and hopefully it wont be too manic with people leaving it till the last minute-although when I had to get DS2 some out of school shoes from clarks last week the lady told me that you can make appointments to get them fitted for school hoes so you dont have to wait about.
Oh and just remembered that DS1 needs some new trainers as well!!0 -
I'd forgotten about the sainsbury's 25% off. I'll have to get the twins some of the grey pinafore dresses because they like those (and it disguises the non logo'd polo shirts lol).Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Hi all, thanks for the advice re: feeding. Miles has been going for about 3 hours from the start of the feed to needing the next one, or just about 3 hours. He seems to be having a bit of a longer sleep in the late evening so that looks like a good time for me to nap if I can get to sleep lol! He fed at 8pm a couple of nights ago, and then stirred at midnight so hubby went and got his bottle and then little man fell asleep again and so did we! I woke again just after 1am and he was still asleep so I just got him up and fed him since I didnt want the milk to go to waste lol he slept the whole time so it took ages but then he woke at 3 so maybe I should have left him, not sure lol.
He is having a bit of trouble at the minute as he is very sniffly and having trouble breathing/sleeping through it. Had him to docs and they gave me some nasal drops but its just salty water, dont see what they can do but trying them all the same.
He is now 1 month old. It goes fast doesnt it, I never realised how fast people meant. Wont be long before my maternity leave finishes at this rate. Not sure yet if I want to go back, it all depends on husband finding a new better paying job or not and how funds are in the new year.
Thought I'd upload a new pic of my little man at 1 month old. Sorry if its big:j0 -
Awwwww he's lovely
they are heart melting at that age.
It does go fast, just concentrate on enjoying him whilst he's small. I found with DD1 I seemed to wish it all away waiting for the next milestone!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Gorgeous Supermaiden!
Poppy went through some stages of being sniffly. Is he sleeping in a moses basket as we put a towel under the head end rolled up so her head was up a bit higher, seemed to help a bit.
All this uniform buying sounds expensive...i have all that to come!0 -

Yes he sleeps in his moses basket, it is on a rocking stand so we have put something under the head end to keep it tipped up for him. For his last sleep this morning I put him in his carrycot for his pushchair as it goes into a car seat but has inbetween settings where its tilted up a little so I tried that and it seemed to help him but I dont want to keep putting him in there lol.
Not happy about tonight, hubby has a nightshift at work so Im on my own with little guy and not looking forward to it. I sometimes fall asleep with him in my arms and hubby can tell me to wake up lol but tonight he cant. Mum was going to stay but my dad got a new job so she cant now as no one will be home with their dogs.:j0
