Aless.. I get that too.. I take advantage of the rare occasions the house is my own and do crazy cleaning missions! I am trying to get the house habitable before the baby arrives.. it is costing about £4000 but it will be worth it.. and hopefully will make the house warmer and heating bills lower come winter :D

The boys are away to the beach for a BBQ with church today..

DD3 is being a cow so on housework duty.. if she has time to be nasty she can use that time productively.

OH is setting up his new Xbox

Squeak is in bed and DD2 is out with a boy..I did tell her no sex as it is still illegal (she is 14 in 2 weeks)

    Hi all,

I think someone was planning on getting a Britax Eclipse car seat? Can't remember who. I had bought my mum one in black from Mothercare, but needed to get one for my car and for DH's. I've just spotted the Britax Eclipse in red and black on Halfords website for £59.99. There is 10% off when 2 are bought and 4% Quidco.

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_761727_langId_-1_categoryId_165763

    Hope this helps someone.

    :D

Had a similar conversation with Josh who is 14 as he's been seeing a girl and she's been round here quite a lot. She stayed for tea today.

Aless - I feel like that. I get loads more done in a day now ex isn't living here any more. I don't know why but I've got more energy and stay busy rather than flopping in a "can't be arsed" state in the chair.

Busy day today with work. Came home to a houseful so Charlotte played with them, and I cleaned the kitchen and hoovered and mopped the floors downstairs.

There's a load of them up in the loft at the moment building a den with blankets and some old carpet.
Here I go again on my own....

Bedroom almost sorted.. 9 boxes and a wardrobe to be sorted through and moved out..

The 3 girls are so much better behaved now I have worked them to death lol.. and the boys are home.

2 boxes and 2 huge binbags of rubbish binned.. I need to resort to filling next doors bins now as mine are both fit to pop!

It is so therapeutic flinging stuff and quite addictive too!! I can't wait to get the girls room habitable.. it will be wonderful! I have maybe 10/11 weeks max before the baby arrives so have to get a move on with this lot!

I think I have found someone at school to pass the smaller school stuff on to :D.. I am sending all the underwear and socks to nursery too.. I have got them all new undies and socks so the current stuff can go and everything they have will be easier to pair up/put away. The 2 littlies have different style poloshirts as well which should mean fewer morning squabbles.. I need to get shoes and trainers sorted and bags and pens etc and ooh.. check winter coats.. and I think we are sorted :D I then have to write names in 5 billion items of clothing lol!

has anyone managed to get hold of ashton and parsons anywhere? There's problems with getting supplies in as they're changing packageing but apparantly some shops have them in stock.

    yes we have 5

Aaaaaah, phew...that seems much more reasonable for your brood:p:)

I have a friend (not seen her in ages actually) who was in a 2 bed flat with 4 kids and a 5th on the way! She had 2 kids per room and her and her hubby slept in the living room, when I was seeing a fair bit of her. Last I heard she was still in the flat and pregnant with baby 6!! I hope she has moved now:o

Big money discussions here this evening, dh is costing us a fortune and HAS to cull some of his 'hobbies' it will end up in a row, but tuff, we can't afford it:cool: I sometimes wish I could just tell him to stick the money and bills and sort it all out himself, I am sick of being the big bad wolf and having to say no all the time whenever anyone wants to buy anything, although I dread to see the state of things if I did that:eek:

Becles - Sorry to hear things aren't great with James and his dad, hopefully with time hey xx

    Morning

James Dad has a history of really hurting them with his behaviour. He only sees them a couple of times a year and never makes any other contact by phone/email/MSN etc. This is just one in a serious of stupid things he's done to upset them.

I'm in a hard place as I don't like them being hurt and upset by him, but then I don't want to be the big bad Mammy who blocked access to Dad. It's a tough one to know what to do for the best.

I like flinging things pigpen. It's very therapeutic clearing out crap you don't need any more

Quiet day planned here today. Dropping Charlotte off to see her Dad, then popping to the shops to do a quick job for work. Will just potter around at home until it is time to collect her.

Have a good day all xx

oohh, youve all got me in a spring cleaning mood!
have got some stuff to sell think will try gumtree as bigger items- such as an unused crib (we got 2but only ever used one)!
i hate clutter but hate throwing things out but our tiny bit of loft is jam packed so will have to do something.
H is now pulling himself up on everything so have taken everything out of the living room apart from the furniture and his toys looks very minimalistic now which i quite like.

I havent been able to get any for months- have one packet i got off a friend which i am rationing- only using when absolutely needed and making do with teething gel other times.
I was told it was because shops dont sell them anymore as certain people use them to pad out certain illegal substances!

Morning! Much lazier start to the day, as DH thankfully let me have a nice lie-in. Just sorting breakfast, then a shower, THEN can crack on with the day's tasks. Might put the washing on in a minute, though, so that can be ready to go out when I am :). Not going to be as crazy cleaning as yesterday, today's tasks are just regular cleaning jobbies like the bathroom, hoovering & baking for the week. Going to do savoury courgette & cheese muffins, I think.
