How did the flash mob go SM? It sounds great fun and something I would have gone to when Charlotte was little.

Lovely pic MV. He looks well into it

Charlotte's friend is getting a puppy this weekend. She's pestering me to get a puppy now. We've already got two dogs, so no chance :D

Thanks Becles was good, although we got there a little late as usual but ds obliged and he fed with all the other mums in Paddington Station - although he just wanted to crawl when done!!

MV glad he enjoys the jumperoo, t still goes in it but not for long.

Well DS has learnt how to go from his front to sitting up which now means he wants to pull himself up to standing in the cot, put himdown for nap today went in after 10 mins to find him standing up looking very pleased with himself. Anyway did get him settled and then slept for an hour and half which is unlike him but glad as find it harder for him to nap out now.

Hope all have good wkd, I'm going to see friends so first night away - any tips to help me get through it?

Oooo, I like the 'what would you do differently' posts. I would go to the hospital MUCH sooner, as it was NOT fun trying to, ermmm, hold a baby in while running across the hospital car park & through the corridors! I pretty much got into the pool and had him straight away - I wanted to labour in the water too! :p We plan on doing a home birth next time to avoid all that anyway ;).

Really excited about the hot weather planned for tomorrow & Monday - about time! Hope we have much more of it.

sir m, no tips really other make sure you are really distracted so you don't have much time to think about missing him?

Have a good night out SM. Once you get out and start enjoying yourself, you'll not be worrying as much. I know it's a huge step just to get out there though.

Big day here today. It's my degree graduation ceremony and I'll be wearing the gown and hood that my Dad wore when he graduated. He's so excited about it!

I tried the gown on at home and Charlotte asked if I'm going to be wearing "Grandad's funny dress thing" :rotfl:

Having a meal with my parents afterwards to celebrate

Congrats on the graduation Beccles! Hope you get lovely weather and have a great day.

SM I had my first night away from LO last weekend and I just told myself that my DH wasn't going to let her get hurt or go hungry. If her clothes are on back to front or she got spuds for supper, then she'd not even notice. I actually think it was good for the two of them. When he came home from work on the Monday, I was holding her and she saw him and put her arms out for him to take her. She'd never done that before.

The baby photos are lovely :D

School Summer Fair today, and guess what it's cold and grey :rotfl: Have to go really as both twins have performances.

I am seriously thinking about moving away, my mum is driving me bonkers still. She knows about the baby now and of course she's all upset because everything always has to be about her! She rang me up and totally slagged me off and then rang back yesterday, and expected me to apologise for saying I won't have her criticise me in light of what she put me and my brother through. I'm now not talking to her at all :o

Sir M, whats a flash mob? I seem to vaguely remember an old T-mobile ad with loads of people singing in an airport? Have I got it totally wrong? lol.

OH looks after Squeak sometimes when I have to go somewhere, she loves it. He seems to let her eat all day and stay in her pj's :rotfl:

Squeak has just finished her breakfast and is grumbling to get down so I suppose I should go and get some stuff done now.

    morning all

delain, annoying about your mum, i hate it when people make everything about them. I have a friend like that, perhaps it's ex friend now actually! A flash mob is lots of people coming together with no announcement or anything you're right about the dance one. This one was lots of mums and babies feeding in paddington station, i was there too though was also a little late as my london geography so bad went to the worst station, oops.

My mum is coming tomorrow til wed am, can't wait to see her! Not seen her since early May so it's a long time in L's little life!

L is currently asleep, when he wakes up and has a feed we'll probably go and feed the ducks etc and have a coffee maybe. We were meant to be going to a wedding in bournemouth today but was only the service and evening (which we probably wouldn't have done with L) so we're not going now, he's been full of cold and I don't fancy sitting in a hot car if the traffic is bad.

Our offer on the house was accepted, mortgage is getting there but slightly complicated as we're borrowing the top end of what they'll lend as doing it all on DH's salary as my situation is complicated! Trying not to worry about it as we can't do anything. On the same day our fridge here broke, landlady has ordered a new one but we are using Sir M's little mini one until Thurs when the new one comes.

Thanks everyone really looking forward to it, plus can have a proper rest!! Think plan is going to her gym for a swim/steam and some drinks/food - be good to know I can go out without worrying about a 3 o'clock alarm!

Was funny yesterday as me and this other lady were dashing there to get to it in time just sat down on the floor in the station and fed our lo's. A member of staff (male) came up to me and said what is going on, I said we are all bf - think got bit embarrassed lol!

My DD has gone from sleeping great to worse by the weeks now :( Maybe those that sleep bad in the beginning do better later and those who are good to start get worse!

Last night was terrible, she woke every 45 from 7pm till 10pm. Then between 10pm - midnight she must have woke about 10 times. I'm terrible at dealing with her crying at night...I get in such a bad mood and I don't know how to deal with it. I know it's not her fault.

I'm wondering what I should be doing. At the moment when I'm getting frustrated with lack of sleep I'm putting her on the boob to just get some peace, but I know this is wrong and TBH I don't think it's what she wants. I've been cuddling her and settling her and she goes to sleep (or looks like she does) in her cot then 10 minutes later she's up again. However she does sleep through as last night she went from midnight to 7:30am.

Someone a while back - maybe delain, or rach can't remember mentioned teething. Can she be teething? She's 4.5 months old now. This waking up started about a week ago I think. It feels like longer, but I think she went from sleeping from 9:30 - 6ish, to gradually going to bed earlier to 7pm and waking slightly earlier (5am), but going back to sleep after a feed. To then waking at about 2 - 3am for a feed (still does most nights). To now waking up all the time between around 7pm - 2am.

Sorry I keep going on about it. I just don't know what she wants :( If it is teething, is there anything I can do?

Did you hold off going to hospital for fear of being sent home? I know I did. Hope you get your home birth. I've been told I can't have one now :(

I've made a start on improving myself...had my fillings done on Wednesday - even though it didn't hurt I really really would rather give birth again than have fillings. I hate the dentist so much :(

Today I dyed my hair using that clairol foam stuff. First time I've ever dyed my hair at home. It looks OK I think, but I don't think it's covered the greys :( My greys are really white, and it said they should have a highlighted effect but they look white still to me :( So that was a waste of time and money. Maybe I should try a different brand next time?

I had a go of Just Dance - it really does give you a workout. Or maybe I'm just terribly unfit. I can't really motivate myself at the moment to go to the gym - even the fact I'm wasting money on it every month doesn't tempt me.

I had a look at the child care voucher scheme. Anyone here use that? It definitely seems worth it as we won't get any tax credits.

Sir M - enjoy your night away. I've had a few hours here and there away from LO.

We've got our first night out alone in a couple of weeks as we're going to Sonisphere to see Metallica. I'd love to go for the whole day but I didn't dare ask my mum to baby sit for the whole day and almost all night. So we're just going in the evening. I must remember to take my breast pump with me! Do not want to be engorged and leaking :p
