giz i suggested a while back that she could be teething-shes not too young-i know as ds 1 had 2 teeth by the start of the june after he was born and he shares the same birthday as you dd!
Max is a bit hit and miss with his sleep-we had 3 really bad nights in a row with him waking 12/1am then not settling till 3/4am, but the last 2 nights he has gone from 8.30-4 then after a feed going till 6.30/7ish. i just have to make sure he doesnt sleep too late in the day!!0 -
oh and aston and parsons teeting powder is FAB!! although double check the age you can use it from-i only used them with ds 2 when he was 8 months. they're in a little white box0

Giz, could certainly be teething, mine has been doing so for a couple of months now, nothing thru yet though. We've also had a set back sleep-wise. She's going down at 8 pm in her basket, but waking up around 1 and then wants to comfort suck for the rest of the night. Even if I move slightly and unlatch she immediately wakes and cries.
Another flat pack headache again today, not one but two pieces missing from the box, so phoned up to order those and then found a big scratch on the cot panel, can't be bothered to send it back though, we're still waiting for last weeks broken highchair to be collected and replaced and I'm going stir crazy waiting in with LO for all these deliveries.
On the bright side, LO has suddenly discovered how to shape her mouth to make different sounds and is chattering away experimenting with them - we have a definite da-da, which she will repeat back to me.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

If it is teething, is there anything I can do?
Today I dyed my hair using that clairol foam stuff. First time I've ever dyed my hair at home. It looks OK I think, but I don't think it's covered the greys
My greys are really white, and it said they should have a highlighted effect but they look white still to me
So that was a waste of time and money. Maybe I should try a different brand next time?
Hi Giz,
My LO had 2 teeth at 5 months, so could be teething. Maybe a spoonful of Calpol or Calprofen (or the supermarkets own brand at half the price) at bedtime? Then if LO wakes again another spoonful after 4/6 hours.
I have some greys and used a few different brands and none seemed to cover the grey. Last week I got Superdrug's own brand semi-permanent (3 for 2 so £6 for 3 boxes). It covered all the grey.
Rach congrats on the house purchase being agreed.0 -
Hello ladies,
I hope everyone is well.
Giz - Sorry to hear about DD night wakenings. Sounds like maybe it could be teething. Is she showing signs - red cheeks, drooling loads? Obviously I haven't gone through this yet ( I thought I was but no!) so no good advice to give. I have also read about a "4 month sleep regression".
Rach - Congrats on the house move
Well we're back from our little hols, and all was well. I was so worried about DD crying the whole flight, but in the end she slept through it all except for half an hour before landing both ways, when we woke her to change her nappy and feed her. It was sooooo hot in Madeira, but we kept her in the shade and only ventured to the pool late afternoon when the temp was cooler and the pool warmer
. We kept her routine going with feeding and sleeping. We even managed to get out to a BBQ & Quiz Night and she slept through it all in her buggy. Didn't even twitch!
DD sleeping seems to be going well. She is asleep by 7pm, I wake her at 10.30pm to feed, then she is back in by 11pm, chatters to herself for a bit, and generally wakes up then around 6am. She only started doing this about a week before we went away so I am very happy! Although on hols she seemed to like waking at 4.20am for a chatter, but I didn't feed her and she went back to sleep after a while. I hope she drops the early wakings now she's home!
Supposed to be a scorcher tomorrow - think I'll top up my tan whilst DD has her lunchtime nap!
Oh yes, what I would do again if we had another baby is I would definitely have an epidural! The pain of labour is so intense I don't think I could do it au naturele again!0 -
Oh, forgot to say - I don't know if it has already been said, but Sainsburys have their half price baby toiletries and wipes offer on. I stocked up on cotton wool, baby bath and wipes today. Although someone had cleared the shelf of the 4p pack of nappy sacks!!0

I sent DH to work with a shopping list today as he will still get his staff discount on top of the half price lol, so when they have their baby events I always stock up lol- I now have gazillions of wipes lol :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hi everyone. Have been awol for a while but Chunky has been very clingy recently. Methinks teeth are coming through!
Giz - Sorry LO isn't sleeping too well. Broken sleep (or none at all) is really hard! Teething may be one explanation. DS had 2 teeth by four months, 4 teeth by 6 months and 6 teeth by 7 months. We are now waiting on numbers 7 and 8 as they seem to be coming up together as well. Chunky seems to have different teething symptoms. He never has red cheeks or a lot of crying but his sleep patterns go up the left and he starts chewing on anything he can get in his mouth. He also gets very clingy - hence why I think the next teeth are coming! If DS needs it we tend to give him Calprofen (or equivalent) after his dinner as it needs to be given with food. This means he can have paracetamol during the night if he needs it as it doesn't have to be given with food. Have only had to give him calpol once at night.
Sammy - glad you had a good holiday and that LO was good! Dreading taking DS on a plane in Sept!
Rach - yayy for the move. We'd love to but would never get this house sold now. Have to wait for the housing market to settle I suppose.
MI3 - that's a shame about the furniture. Hope you get it sorted ok. I love it when they start babbling and then smile at you like they are having a conversation!
PP - hope your day was ok. Sounds like its all go in your place!0
