well done becles sounds like a lovely day! Graduation's a distant memory for me now, where does the time go?

pigpen - how is squeak now

delain - how annoying you don't need that kind of stress!

LO woke just before 6 this morning but i'm not complaining when he went down at 7pm. He was so funny as he had a feed about 6.30 then a play and his breakfast then i took him into dh in bed and I was laying on the bed and he was lurching towards my boob! He usually has water after his breakfast whilst he sits in his highchair watching me in the shower but I'd forgotten that bit so he was obviously thirsty! He's down for a nap now, is a little overtired so hope he goes off without too much fuss!

My mum arrives today, can't wait. I am also doing a roast for inlaws and her, dh invited them before he knew mum was coming. Must get the chicken out of the freezer..hope it will defrost in time, didn't dare do it last night as no fridge to keep it in!

Squeak is fine now thank you Rach.. still snotting a little but I think a lot of it was down to her new teeth. We had only one coughing fit last night which is wonderful.. she is so much better with her inhalers too... we don't fight half so much.

She appears to have woken up this morning with the ability to crawl!!!! The cats are tortured, OH's mugs and cables are now hers and I have tripped over her twice already!!! Lazy little lump, I thought she would never bother! lol Best find the sudocrem for the sore knees!

    Yay for crawly Squeak :D

Apparently now the MOT we had specially done last week for the car we gave my mum (yes - gave her for free) suddenly 'must be dodgy' OH says we can go and get it if she doesn't want it, I'm not going to text her and say that though.

    Why? I would... :p

ungrateful bint would be added in there too.. :p .. I'd say OH will be round to collct it later and we'll put it on ebay.

Has she any idea how big the fines are for dodgy MOT's.. it is hard to find anyone to do them now.

Hope the meal goes well Rach.

    Yay for crawling Squeak :j

I would send that text too delain :D I can understand why you get annoyed when she says things like that.

Been so hot today and I've been outside for most of it. Got all my pots tidied up out the front and put some summer bedding plants in.

James and his friend were bored so they offered to wash my car for £1 each. Bargain :D

Just had a light rain shower, so Charlotte took her top off and was dancing round the garden in it :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

Do any of you lovely ladies use the Angelcare Monitor with the sensor pad? I have a related question. We're just about to transfer LO from moses basket to cot. But I'm just wondering in the bigger space what happens if she rolls completely off the pad. Are we going to be constantly rushing in when the alarm goes off just to find nothing is wrong, she's just been rolling?

    Depends how rolly she is.

Squeak has just decided she NEEDS to sleep across either the top or bottom of the cot and it does still pick up her movements tbh.. it alarms maybe once a week because she has rolled off.. but it never wakes her up and always stops as soon as it picks up another movement.. the one bleep it does first usually makes her jump so it is ok.

It does still seem to pick up most movement when she is laid off the pad.

It is boiling and squeak pooped so I stripped her off and put her down while I went to find bum cream as she is quite sore... I got back to find her sitting playing in a pile of poop.. another one... right at OH's feet....

She was trying to eat it and it took both of us to hold her down and clean her!

We are so very proud.. our first carpet poop!! ... *sigh*

(but ggrrrrr at OH for not noticing.. or claiming not to have!)

Oh dear, that sounds very messy PP. Hooray for crawling Squeak :T Joe has worked out how to go forwards too and now there's no stopping him! I feel quite sad in a way as he seems to have grown up loads all of a sudden - a couple of weeks ago he still couldn't sit up very well on his own, but now he can not only sit, but also get himself into a sitting position and crawl. Where did my little baby go :o

We've got the Angelcare monitor too. Joe doesn't always sleep where he's right above it - like Squeak he usually sleeps sideways across the top or bottom of the cot. But it rarely goes off and if it does that initial beep is usually enough.

It's cloudy and wet here today :( Just typical - I didn't do any washing at the weekend as we were enjoying being out in the garden on Saturday and out at a friend's BBQ yesterday. So now I have loads to do and it's going to have to go in the tumble dryer

Good luck with the mortgage Rach.

delain, can you just cut your mother out of your life? Sounds like you won't miss her! Families, eh? You wouldn't stand for that from a friend, I bet.

That's really yukky pigpen - thanks for sharing :D

James used to like sleeping across the cot. He wasn't in a sleeping bag as nobody used them when the boys were little. Every night when I went to bed, he'd be laying with his legs hanging out through the cot bars and I'd have to wiggle them back in and cover him back up again :rotfl:

Paddling pool had a hole in, so Charlotte was sitting in a plastic box with some water in again last night. Bought her a cheap paddling pool while I was out this morning, so she'll be hyper when she comes in from school.
Here I go again on my own....

Well done for crawling squeak, we have crawling squeak too which is not fun in the sweltering heat!! Plus he now likes to stand up in the cot, which is making it hard to get him to nap/sleep as put him in there will just get up again!! Any tips gratefully received!

Well done Becles, loved my graduation.

Delain what a nightmare, hope you get it sorted out soon.
