yes.. I want to sleep in this heat as well!!!
Weaning early rarely works.. they are unable to digest the food properly, it can cause digestive issues (tummy ache constipation etc) .. they really need the milk because they need the nutrients not stodge in the tummy.
Plus if they are shot feeds they may be to quench the thirst rather than fend off hunger.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Hope you get rid of the nits soon. We've been lucky and only had them once, but the Hedrin got rid of them.
I'm a single Mam again. Long story but relieved it's over.
Got the paddling pool set up for Charlotte this afternoon and it was blistering hot. It started thundering when I was standing at school, then started raining when we were walking home. Had a heavy rain storm and now it's gone cool, so she never got to play in it - poor thing! Here I go again on my own....0 -

He has slept a lot today on and off, is it normal for babies to do that in this heat?
Thanks
We've had 3 sleeps today, so assume so. Also extra BF's so thinking she needs the foremilk to quench her thirst. And she's loving the nappy only look too.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

*hugs* Becles, hope you & the boys & Charlotte are okay. I assume you're at home then? Hope nothing sinister happened & wish you all the best for this difficult time.
It's cooled off a bit now, looks like it will rain soon.
BargainPrincess, not trying to sound preachy, but they will start solids when they're ready. Wait for obvious signs and you'll have much happier results. They'll prolly BF more in the heat to quench thirst.

Another one in just a nappy here too! It was so hot today, and her room thermometer is still flashing 30 at me!
Had our second set of jabs today, which wasn't ideal in this weather. DH came and held her as I couldn't do it
Becles - (((hugs))) - hope everything is ok.0 -
Hmmm sleeping lots today has screwed up her bedtime. It's and hour and a half past her normal bedtime and she's squealing in delight, playing with her feet and shuffling around the room. Have I done wrong by not putting her to bed anyway?Baby Giz born 6/2/110

Thanks Ladies. Little one is 5 and a half months and has fed every few hours since he was born which is really hard especially at night. He started showing interest in our food, drooling lots and reaching out and we thought it might help to start him a little early. We give some baby rice with breastmilk in the mornings and a bit of mashed veg or fruit in the evenings but he is still needing to feed as frequently.
I feel such an idiot for hardly being able to keep up with one little baby when I would like more but I think it is the sleep deprivation that is doing it.0
