It is quiet on here isn't it.
Hope you are all having a good day. Went to the music/sensory group this morning and there was only one other mum plus the lady who runs it two kids. She said is always a bit quiet this time of year though.
Also found out about a new group for babies up to 20 weeks which is going to be literally 2 mins from my door so will be going to that one monday. Wuld be nice to meet some people as don't know anyone round here.0 -
It is quiet.
Charlotte went round to her boyfriend's house for tea. She didn't know what she had for tea, and said she had "funny little orange things that tasted of chicken" :rotfl:
She said she needs to take some shower gel next time. Puzzled I asked why, and she said Louis said she could sleep over so she needs to take her shower gel and her nightie. Errrrm I don't think so!
Not sure what she is doing now, but the dog has just appeared with the oven gloves draped over his back :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
Another big fan of sleeping bags as t moves so much now, will put him at bottom of cot and find him at the top the other way round so blankets would be no good. Also t has learnt how to sit up on his own, so put him down for nap this morning go back as crying and is sitting up in corner of cot!!
Had a sensory taster thing at local group but T was over tired so didn't really enjoy it, got home and he had a nice long sleep while I watched wimbledon.
Bless Charlotte having a boyfriend, I remember those days!!
Ooh and may be going to a breast feeding flash mob tomorrow . . . .Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

I'm watching OBEM USA. Dreaming of being in labour again. Hubby and I were just discussing what we would do differently next time around.
He has said he will make sure he has change (for food machines and car park) and a cushion for the stool (bless him - he sat on a tiny stool for 7 hours!)
For me:
* Make sure I use the higher levels on the TENS machine (only changed to level 3 on the way to hospital).
* Ask for the clock to be out of sight - I clock watched the whole time.
* Will use gas and air more even if I feel I don't need it - that stuff is good.
* Will not have a bath at home (did nothing for me)
* Go to hospital sooner
I need to do some research into the physiological third stage too. I had a doctor tell me that was why I had retained products, but a midwife said that was nonsense and I would have had retained products anyway. If there's no evidence, then I'll have a physiological third stage again.
What would you do differently?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Morning all. Our jumperoo arrived yesterday!
Thanks for recommending it ladies, Josh seems to love it already!Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Giz - i watched that too last night. Is strange some of the differences over there. I am not sure I would do anything differently , I would love to have had a water birth but not much i could have done to change the way things went.
The jumperoo looks brilliant and Josh looks like he is having fun.
I feel like all i do is moan about sleep on here but after waking up about 5 , poppy did not want to go back in her basket. She would fall asleep on me then i'd move her and she'd wake straight back up again arghhh. Thought she had got out of this last few nights.0 -
Just wanted to pop in and say I'm loving all the jumperoo piccies ladies. So cute so cute It was the best purchase I ever made out of all the baby stuff thanks to recommendations from here a few months back. So much I'll be saving up to buy one again for my best friends baby when she has it early next year as she's been a godsend to my sanity whilst I was feeling a bit blue and lonely during day in the early months.0

Love the picture MV. Josh is gorgeous!
I did 2 half days in work this week and left LO with my mum for one and my sister for another. She did great even with no milk, as she still won't take a bottle. I arrived to collect her at my sister's yesterday and her 2 LOs (7 & 9) and my brothers 2 LOs (7 & 9) were there. My sister had gone to answer the phone and the children had carried my LO upstairs to play with her in the bedroom! My sister didn't realise until my 7 yo niece carried her down the stairs! She was loving it though, so I'm not going to stress. She never whinged once.
I put LO in her own room on Monday night. Out of the last 4 nights she has slept through 12 hours for 3 of them! So pleased. Sorry your LO is not sleeping Wendz, we were the same, but you get there eventually!0
