The Gill Rapley book is good for philosophy of weaning and blw, but for ideas of foods I found the Finger Foods book by Jenny Maizels is really good, only small but has some good ideas.

Sorry to hear of your troubles delain. Hope you managed to get something sorted out.

Josh's football training has started up again and he needs picking up at 7.30pm (changing to 8pm from next week). Charlotte usually goes to bed between 7.30pm-8pm, so I showered her and put her nightie on and stuck her in the car to go and collect him. She thinks it's hilariously funny being in the car in just her nightie :rotfl:

I'm reading the Gill Rapley one, its an easy read, makes everything seem logical. I guess we'll be starting around the same time, be good to compare notes.

i got the blw book from the lib first giz, i did then buy it as it's good to have i thought. I have the finger foods one from the lib but I may buy that too as I think there are some good recipes particularly as they get bigger.

Had a busy day house hunting yesterday, saw 4 around lunchtime with a friend and 2 in the evening. The last one is really good and we are going to put in an offer, though we are only able to go to 10k under the asking price so hard to know if we've got a chance. Think we will offer even lower to start off with and then there's a bit of space to move up...sir m's advice! Was so funny, dh was all 'i don't even need to go in' and 'i didn't want to live in this area, it's too far from town' etc when we got there, 'why did you arrange this...' etc. by the time we came out he was asking the guy if he was happy with the school I knew he was interested lol.

L slept til 6 without a peep from just before 7 last night, friend babysat whilst we checked out houses. he's so desperately trying to crawl forwards bless him, he's just playing on the mat before breakfast.

Hope the offer goes well Rach. I would have accepted a lower offer on my last house as I was just desperate to sell it.

Got the health visitor coming out to see Charlotte this morning at 11am. She just wants a chat about stuff.

Popping to Homebase first as I need some odds and ends, and Charlotte is really excited about going :D

Have a good day all xx

Good luck with the offer Rach. I'm going into work today! I'm doing a few days here and there before I'm due back. Looking forward to it.

Last night we put LO in her own room for the first time. She slept from 8pm to 7am. I was in checking on her (silly me) at 10, 12 3 and 5! So I probably got a better night sleep when she was waking up!

    Morning all,

Becles - aww bless Charlotte getting excited wearing her nightie in the car!

Rach - good luck with the house, sounds good!

CL - that is typical isn't it but at least you know now that she is fine on her own, bet you will still be checking though hehe.

Poppy was asleep in bed at half 10 last night so her bedtimes are slowly edging forward (fingers crossed). Still struggle to settle her down again after she wakes up in night though. We will get there.

Going into town today as need to take something back to new look. Also need to go to the post office and collect a couple of parcels.

    Hi all

Not been on here in ages! Hope everyone is well :)

Rach hope your house hunting went well, we moved 2 months ago and now OH is on about needing a bigger house  dont really feel like moving again, T had gastrorentaritus when we moved it was awful. But if we have another baby we would need a bigger house, but not just yet!

Giz I also recommend the Gill Rapley BLW book, I borrowed it from my library and found it v good, its simple to read.

BLW is great, people always comment on how amazed they are at how well T eats, and how he will eat practically anything (but i have to be so careful with his milk allergy)

T is now almost 10 months! I can't believe it! He is constantly crawling and getting upto mischief, he wedged our post under the tv stand yest and then hid OHs car keys under the coffee table... took us ages to find them!
