Giz, do you still have the old style trains on your line? Those with the auto doors usually have plenty of room inside to park up inside without folding your buggy. Obviously we don't travel in rush hour. I leave LO in if she is sleeping, if she's awake and making a racket I sit her on my lap hoping that being nosy and looking around will quieten her down.

South west trains use the nice new trains 90% of the time here, they are great. Unless it's really busy or there is a conveniently deaf pensioner with a suitcase big enough to hide a large corpse in front of them in the wheelchair/buggy spaces.

Scan went well, thanks for remembering. Love you guys, you make me feel special in a good way :D Usually I feel special in a window licking sort of way so you lot mean a lot to me :rotfl:

CL - if you ever want to meet up for a coffee and attempt a feed in public I will come with you! :)

I have to admit that I hate it when Chunky tries to be nosey while feeding. I never knew things could stretch that far!!:rotfl:

Delain - am so glad things went well for you! :T

    Evening ladies.

Ouchy Pigpen, your post about your intestines made my insides shrivel! Poor you! ..and poor Squeaky. Hope she is better soon.

Giz - I haven't braved trains yet either. I've been on a bus a couple of times, but only with the safety of a friend!

Glad your scan went well Delain :)

Quick breast feeding - stopping question..I'm getting to the end I think. My left boob is doing all the work now (roboboob) and the right has given up the ghost pretty much. I express a bit out of it in the mornings, but Josh doesn't like it much and latching him on is tricky.

Will my boobs, which are currently completely lopsided, go back to some semblance of normality, or am I destined to have a comedy rack forever more?

Also, I want to start dropping some of the middle of the day feeds soon, and keep the first morning and last bf of the day for a bit longer. Should I drop one day feed a week so as to avoid horribly engorged and painful boobs?

I think it will be sad to quit the BF'ing, but I feel I've done as much as I want to, and Josh is so big now (18lbs 11oz at last weigh in!), that I struggle to feed him a bit now. It's becoming more like a wrestling match!

Squeak hasn't got whooping cough.. she has pneumonia in both lungs and inflammation causing wheezing but her SATs are fine and she is eating ok so doesn't require the hospital.. though the doc isn't quite sure how... by rights she should be seriously ill

Please keep a really close eye on her.

I don't want to frighten you but James was very poorly when he was two. He started with a cold and cough, and then kept getting worse. I had him to the doctors several times but kept getting fobbed off with a viral infection.

One afternoon his temperature soared and he just went all floppy and unresponsive. Went straight to A&E where they admitted him and diagnosed him with double pneumonia. He was so hot they stripped him to his just his underpants, and he was just laying on a hospital bed, wired up to various monitors and a drip and he was on IV antibiotics. He came round a bit the next day, but he was unwell for a long time afterwards.

If her temperature starts to creep up, make sure you get her to the doctors ASAP so you don't have to go through what I did.
Here I go again on my own....

I have to admit I have a bugaboo.

It is a really nice pram but it's bloody heavy and every bug*er seems to have one!

Dd1 had pneumonia several times and was very very ill a few times. Squeak hasn't even got a temp.. which is what I don't understand.. you'd think she would have.. but it was 36.7 earlier.

Glad James made a full recovery.. DD1 did too :D
