    Morning! Hope everyone is well.

It must have been the night for good sleeping - Chunky slept from 8pm til 6 this morning. Recently he has been waking up during the night so it was a bit strange to realise I had been asleep for just over 6 hours.

CL - glad the teeth thing worked for you. Doesn't always follow that BF babies don't have colic. Chunky was in the minority and had colic from day 3 until about 6 months old. He also started throwing up after every feed (but wasn't distressed at all) at about 10 weeks and this finally seems to have stopped in the last month (hurrah!). He struggled with wind something shocking poor wee love. He's fast asleep in his car seat as I was at weightwatchers this morning and he fell asleep on the way home - he's been out for an hour. Will need to wake him shortly as he needs a feed (and needs out of the seat!)

Have to share with someone - I have now lost 3 stone in weight!! Only 10lbs to go!! Woo hoo! Sorry but no one is available for me to tell at home!

PP - hope Squeak is better soon - that sounds awful. We had Chunky at out of hours doctor at the weekend with high temperature etc. He's much better now but Saturday and Sunday were awful. I do admire the way you seem to cope with the kids - especially with the next one due. Has your SPD started up again?

Delain - good luck for the scan and grr at ex-mil. That was an awful thing to say to the child! And ewww at children baking! LOL!

Rach - hope BF training was good. Wish I was in the area for a meet up. However I have no desire to live in a large city therefore that will never happen. And why would you have to pretend to be a yummy mummy! We all are! Gosh - I do talk a load of rubbish.

Becles - hope you have a fab day with Charlotte.

If I missed anyone- apologies! I have a head like a sieve!

oh yes the SPD is back.. I've so far had 2 referrals sent to physio and no appointment.. 2nd was sent 6 weeks ago so I don't think I'll be getting one from that either.. never mind.. I managed last time I'm sure I will again.

She doesn't have a temp at all.. she has coughed herself sick 3 times this morning.. eaten a leaf.. and is in her jumperoo... she seems fine in herself but I don't do sick!!! and her eyes are now bloodshot and puffy from the coughing and sicking.. vampire baby!

Glad yours is on the mend :D

Aw poor wee thing (you or the baby - take your pick! :D). Thats awful re the physio - you would think they would get that sorted for you. I assume chucking wobblers at the doctors doesn't help (if I remember your posts right). Mine took about 3 weeks from referral to appointment. Mind you they didn't do much beyond give me a pair of crutches and show me how to walk up and down stairs so it wouldn't hurt. And they lie about when SPD starts for a 1st timer (12 weeks for me) and when it ends (nearly 4 months after he was born and I still have difficulties now) but I think I would do it again - once more!

Isn't it interesting the things they will eat! Hhm - not sure how I will manage with sick! We haven't had that with solid food yet - just with the milk. Yeah - Chunky is not allowed to be sick when I have him!! I've decided he can keep that for his daddy! :D

OH moaned at me.. said if it was an appointment for one of the children I'd be yelling at them by now.. which is true... but I can't be bothered when it is for me.

They did the original referral at 9 weeks.. it was 5 weeks before I got a letter saying call to be given an appointment within 2 weeks of the datte of the letter.. due to easter and there not being anyone there it was 2 weeks and 2 days when I got though and they refused to give me the appointment.. the MW sent in another at 16 weeks... not a peep from them... but for what lack of help they can offer it seems a waste of time anyway.. I couldn't use the belt as I already have dodgy hips so any pressure on them I will be unable to walk, I have RSI in both wrists so crutches are a no-go so it does seem pointless.

It does sound like it was a good night for sleeping babies. Mine is napping again , very unheard of for her. She has her first lot of jabs tomorrow so sure it will all go downhill then...

Delain - hope scan goes ok!

Nephthys- well done on the weight loss, that is brilliant!

Yeah I didn't get on with the belt at all - seemed to make my hips much worse. I also have RSI but it is in my right wrist mostly. Left wrist is nowhere near as bad - I did end up leaning mostly to my left to take the pressure of my right wrist. At the end it came down to deciding which bit of me I wanted to to be least sore! LOL! :)

5 weeks is a lifetime when you are in pain! I usually don't moan when its for me either - I've found crying works. Most men (as my doctors all seem to be) hate it when women cry and do almost anything to make you stop. Works with DH anyway! Hee hee!

hmm - Chunky is still asleep. He has now missed his mid morning BF and we are rapidly approaching lunchtime. Time for him to wake up methinks!

Thanks Wendz!!! I knew I missed somebody the first time round!! Glad LO is sleeping a bit better. It'll all come right in time - just never seems like it when you are going through it! Make sure and have some paracetamol in the house for after the jabs - DS didn't need it but my niece did. Some doctors will give you a prescription for a big bottle of it. The hardest part of the jabs is when they realise that it hurts and they start yelling. The nurses doing DS's jabs let me stay in the room to feed him after as we had to stay at the docs for 15 mins after to make sure he didn't react. Not sure if you are feeding yourself but if not bring her a wee bottle as it helps calm them down although they are all different and she could be grand.

I'm just a mess lol.. my umbilical hernia is sore.. I think I moan more about that than I do anything else that hurts lol. My innards move in and out freely and I know that is good but that causes it to be really sore from the friction.. it pops right out if I pick up the baby so I carry her in one arm and hold my intestines in with the other hand lol.. I want a huge plaster on it to hold it in.. I thought it would improve as the baby got bigger but it doesn't seem to have made much difference.. maybe in a few more weeks :)

This one is laid really low and heavy in my pelvis as well whereas squeak was high up.. so that means there is more pressure on my hips and bottom of my back and my poor battered bladder is not happy either.. given my history of prem deliveries this makes them flap about my cervix giving out as well.. not that it was ever an issue before.

Squeak is just going back up to bed.. with sick in her ear and snot in her eyebrows and hair.. another bath tonight I think! lol

  • Meh, to all you who had good sleepers last night :p Last night was the worst we have had with Max., that I take back everything I said yesterday and I broke all my own rules :o
He went to bed about 8.30 and slept till 12.30 (up till then I had been asleep on the sofa for only an hour) So I fed him, and he was wide awake-got to 1.40 and he was still wide awake, but not happy to be in his moses basket. In the end I took him downstairs-I was sooo hot in the bedroom and was worried that if i was sat with him I would fall asleep and suffocate him or drop him. And I didn't want to disturb the older 2. That and the time seems to drag as it is sooooo boring just sitting or walking around a quiet dark room lol
So we went downstairs and he sat in his chair quite happy while i laid on the sofa watching rubbish stuff on tv (and eating frosties :o)

He finally fell asleep in his chair about 3 (after being fed again!) so i took him back up stairs and put him in his moses basket, hoping he would stay there till a reasonable time-no 4.45 he woke up and that was it!! I've been up ever since.
He was really grisly this morning, and i think he was tired-thank god for the school run to send him to sleep lol
Although I wonder if the drops he got for his thrush might have affected him last night, as he had the first lot abpout 7pm??
He seems ok now, so fingers crossed we will have a better night!!

Rach - are the crutch style holders really bad? I have one :( But it was only £7.50 as I didn't want to spend loads of money if we didn't use it. So far we've used it twice (at carboots), so really don't think I can't justify anything expensive.

I put lots of stuff on ebay and one got taken off this morning because you're not allowed to sell radley items that can't be bought on their own. I don't want to bin it, but I use my radley bags within a inch of their life so never suitable to sell on. Perhaps I should sell my falling apart radley bag with the cover :)

Been reading back and noticed this and haven't caught up yet but wanted to answer this before I forgot...

It's apparently not good for them to have all their weight on their crotch - which virtually rules out all forward facing carries. When you use a wrap you have the babies legs wide, wrapped around you, and the material covers them from knee to knee so it is like they are sitting on a chair (although bum is a bit lower than knees) - much more comfortable but I had Erin without her legs spread for the first few months because I didn't think her legs would spread that far! (I was too scared to try). I can't find anything conclusive about it, it might be ok for short periods but I just don't know.
