Evening all!
Cheers for those having betters nights sleep, boos to those not! We had a bad week for us, (few night wakings) but has been better last few nights. Took t swimming but decided to all asleep on way, then pool was way too cold for him.
I had a section not sure re table tilting but remember asking to move table something about my bowels, which scared me!
We're in the next size too, always feel quite sad when we put one load of clothes away.Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

I remember the table tilting during my section. I was completely convinced I was going to fall off and held on to the anaesthetist. Shameful in any other situation of course!
Boo for cold pools Sir M. I really hate that when you have made all that effort to get there and then can only stay a few minutes.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

My Mam said my brother couldn't cope with swimming pools at all when he was tiny. He used to go blue and shiver even when it was fairly warm!
There was loads of bairns in our street this evening. Normally Charlotte goes in the shower at 7pm, but she was having a great time so I didn't have the heart to call her in.
Let her stay out till 8pm, then went out to get her and she asked if she could stay out longer. I said no because it was 8 o'clock and she said "eeeeeeeeh it's way past my bedtime" :rotfl:Here I go again on my own....0 -
Mine have all been quite sicky in the days before getting new teeth.
He could also have just gorged himself and it was posset rather than vomit?
Squeak coughed until she was covered in mucus earlier.. it was very disgusting.. she doesn't seem ill at all but keeps having coughing fits which are nasty
I have sorted her clothes now so all the 6-9 and 9-12 are packed away.. she is so huge!!!! Good job most of the stuff I got in the sales for next winter was 18-24 months!! It would never fit her otherwise!
DH is 'ill' this morning and like a dying duck. I have little sympathy as when I was actually ill and in hospital when L was 9 weeks old i got little or none.
L does seem snotty again, it had gone for a couple of days but has come backMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
oh poo about the swimming, sir m - that has happened to us sometimes. You get them all ready, drive there, go through the rigamarole of undressing/lockers/etc, then they only want in for 10 minutes! I wish places with kiddie pools kept the temperatures at more sensible levels.
Enjoying a relaxing weekend, but we did go to the playground today - it's recently been done up so has all sorts of fabulous stuff that's great even for babies. Nice when the counsel does something useful with your money!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hope all the poorly ones feel better soon xx
That sounds good about the playground Aless. We were once in our park with Charlotte and some people from the council came round doing a survey about what we liked in the park and what could be improved. I gave some suggestions such as putting more toddler swings in as there was only one, and a few months later they upgraded the park and have put in new equipment including more toddler swings
I saw a job advertised for a clerk for our local parish council. I'm quite keen on it and think I'll apply for it. It's 12 hours a week, so I can still do my other work as well. Think I'm going to have to increase my hours and earn a bit more, as by my rough calculations I'm going to lose a fair bit when we renew our tax credits
Had another busy day here. Popped out to the shops this morning, and then pottered about at home this afternoon doing laundry and stuff and planted up some fuschias that came the other day.
Didn't get to see OH's Gran as she's poorly again. She had shingles and now she's got something that I can't remember the name of but it's to do with her nerves and she's in a lot of pain. They're taking her into the hospital and keeping her in overnight just for observation and hopefully they'll give her something strong for the pain. Charlotte spoke to her on the phone while she was waiting for the ambulance though and that cheered her up a bit. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Go for it Becles! Think it would be good for you, and it's fairly low hours so you could easily fit in your other stuff around it
.
Just finished doing lots in the garden - got proper vegetables going this year, hope they're vaguely successful after all this work! Finn liked to "help" by trying to unplant all the things I just planted. He climbs on EVERYTHING, it's probably almost as bad as if he were walking

Well I am shattered...
Squeak was up about 6 times last night.. she has the most horrendous cough.. I think she either has a throat or ear infection as she just wants to drink gallons though she isn't arguing about eating so my head is saying ears.. which would fit with her teething again.. top 2 front ones are slowly coming. She was actually sick twice through coughing. Needless to say I didn't wake up when she did at 7 so OH got up with her and I slept until 10!!!!
If she is bad again tonight I'll get her ears checked tomorrow.. why are they always unwell on a weekend?!
Oh's mother is on about taking her swimming next Sunday.. and I am saying no.. I am starting to feel like they are railroading my daughter... and I NEED to dig my heels in, I just don't want them thinking they can do as they please and I will just agree to everything.. I am pleased they want to do stuff with her but she isn't theirs she is mine. And she is definitely not going if she has manky ears and this cough.. I even queried whooping cough as it has been so bad! Of course, I may just be being my usually stroppy self!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Have you got some tiny tools? Charlotte got a set last year for her birthday with tiny gardening gloves, a watering can and brightly coloured metal hand tools in. I normally set her on digging in a bare bit while I do the proper work elsewhereOh's mother is on about taking her swimming next Sunday.. and I am saying no.. I feel like that sometimes with my Mam. I feel pressured into doing what she wants and find it hard to stand up and say I don't want her to do things.
I've got my graduation ceremony coming up in June. I don't really want to go to the ceremony and wouldn't have bothered as it's not my thing, but she pressured me into attending saying I'd let them down if I didnt wear the gown etc (I'm wearing the gown my Dad graduated in that my Grandma insisted on buying for him as he was the first in the family to get a degree, so she was mega proud!).
Anyway, now she's pressuring me into agreeing to go back to her house and she'll put on a "spread". I've no idea what she's planning on cooking, but I don't want to go and Craig really doesn't want to go. Stuck between a rock and a hard place now, as if I say we'll go, Craig will be upset, but if I tell her we're not going, she'll be upset.
Hope Squeak feels better soon xx
Think she's passed her germs on as I've woken up loaded with cold and I feel generally yukky!
Craig's Gran is back out of hospital now and has to rest at home, which is a relief.
Enjoy the rest of the holiday all xxHere I go again on my own....0
