HELP ME HELP ME
Ok ladies so Lily is now 15 weeks old.:eek::eek:
And she is starving all the time........I know all the guidelines etc say to wait until 6 months and that you can start fruit & veg from 4 months................this I Know.
Has anyone started just baby rice early??????
Any advice guidance would be fabIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Gizmodo, if you're pumping into a bottle then carry it about in the bottle, the only thing is that if you're using milk from more than one session both bits should be the same temperature when you combine them - so if you have some in the fridge then cool the latest milk before adding it to the bit you stored first. You can heat it, just ask for a cup of hot water and let it sit in the water for a bit to bring it up to temperature.
Tink does your DD sit up unaided and is she interested in food? If not maybe consider one of the hungry baby milks?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Tink, i have started William on baby rice at 16 weeks (well first tries were during 15wks) asked a friend who is GP and mum, and as he can hold his head up, rejected bf and is very keen on watching our food. I have also given a very very small amount of mushy banana. He rejected everything at first, but is now really enjoying his rice. I make it with more milk than suggested as he seems to prefer it runny and not too thick.
William is now sitting in his new Bumbo seat having just had some lunch of formula and then riceIt has given me time to make some bread.

Tinks Bob has some baby rice, mushed banana, etc for the couple of weeks, started off as just a couple of spoons and its now half a little pot full, he loves it. He had some mashed avocado for tea tonight, took a couple of spoons before he got used to that flavour. Bob is already on hungry baby milk. He has started to get hungry in the mornings too so this morning he had a little baby rice after his milk, he had had 8oz of milk first.
None of mine so far have sat unaided till 8-9 months - I'm not waiting till then.
Hope everyone has enjoyed the sunshine, it was so lovely today we spent most the afternoon in the garden after a long walk this morning. It lifts your spirits so much to be getting some sun and the warmth is great.0 -

It's part of the "early weaning" guidelines is all. I wish they'd call it introducing solids rather than weaning because it isn't actually withdrawing milk.

I know I hear it said by alot of people lately but based on my older children I'm not gonna wait till Bob can sit unaided. Previously I have introduced solids at 4 months with DD and followed the baby led weaning with DS at 6 months, Bob is just like his sister and loves his food. They are all different and don't all follow the guidelines - it would be so much easier if they would.0 -

I didn't know you had to wait until the baby could sit unaided before feeding them
Charlotte was still laying flat on her back at 9 months and I think she was about 11 months before she sat unaided. Weaned her at around 5 months as she seemed ready.
Think Josh was weaned about 4½ months but James was weaned at 3½ months on advice of the GP as he was so hungry and had started waking for night feeds again. It was the Spanish GP that we saw and he's a big believer in mothers instincts over official guidelines
Charlotte announced earlier that she's going to have a baby. A real one, not a plastic one, but not tonight as she's a bit tired :rotfl:
She also decided a small plastic dog was a girl dog after closely examining it and failing to find a willyHere I go again on my own....0
