Hello everyone :hello:
Becles, there's nothing more vicious than teenage girls
Merfe I'm glad Bob is feeling better today
We're still using non bio for Squeak as she has excema on her little face but I've never had anything not come clean!
We've got a music group thingy to go to this morning, the weather started off nice but I think it's going to rain now. There's the market in town today so I'll go to that after the group if the rain holds off
Oh and speaking of poo, I smell a smell _pale_ back soon
Susan it's nice to see you back, I'd been wondering if you were OK.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Erin actually has four meals a day on nursery days because nursery give her three meals but then she always wants food when we have tea as well, plus snacks and breastfeeding. She gets loads really.
My two are the same here!
Giz - glad you are feeling better and BF easier, hope you are out of hospital soon.
Susan - good to see you
Becles - sorry about the girlfriend problems.
Bad weekend here again with Henry wetting himself again, playing up all weekend and refusing to have afternoon nap, etc etc....I thought we needed to reintroduce the sticker chart and he still carried on doing it all.... someone tell me all 3yos are like this !!
On the other side William has been really well behaved and has even slept in his own cot all night for the past 4 nights!!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Hi Guys,
I also have not had any poo stains using non bio at 40. I will be back to th washing line as soon as the weather cheers up (once this year so far)
William is doing really well, he slept for 12 hours on Friday night!!! Only back to one feed in the night now. Real nappies are going ok, although still trying a number of different ones. So we only get to use two or three a day and then back to disposables.
We are off to Edinburgh on Friday, any tips for a 7-8 hours car journey with a 3.5month old?
Thanks and i hope you have all coped with half term and the start of the new week.Leopardlady

All three year olds are like it
Well mine were :rotfl:
As for the car journey, we were going to go up north to see some of my family and OH wanted to put the kids in the car in their PJ's very very early (as in middle of the night!) so they'd sleep all the way and not be tired and grotty. They were 7 and 5 at the time, and we ended up not even going lol. Not sure it makes much difference at 3 months though. Just allow for regular stops for feeding, nappy changes and getting them out of the car seat for a bit.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

mazcabs my daughter was like that too. She still needs reminding to use the toilet when we are at home and she is 6. Out and about she is fine.
She was a nightmare to potty train as well, did really well when she felt like it and when she couldn't be bothered she just wet whereever.
I have also done like delain with car journeys and left very early like 3-4am so they go straight in the car in pj and hopefully sleep till the first stop when you can get little one dressed and fed etc then another about 2 hours driving then another stop, change nappies etc0 -

We always use non bio and 40 and most poo stains come out but yep I cant wait for the washing line days again!!
Tips for car journeys :- we had to drive up north when Henry was 4 weeks old to see family. I made sure he was fed and changed and then hit the road with me in the back with him, found that he fell asleep pretty quick and slept longer in car than normal... I did have bottles and formula in the car so I could feed him if it got desperate and we couldnt stop.
OH got to pick William up from nursery as temp of 39 only gone down to 38.5... he not happy as he always gets better when he comes home!!!Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

Thing is Merfe he has been fine for ages going properly etc but he seems to have got scared of something upstairs (possibly smoke alarm) and now is a real pain to get upstairs esp when he needs a wee - so far hasnt done a poo in his pants! Bang goes me trying nappy free nights.... any tips for that BTW?Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
We found the baby is fine in the car and happily sleeps/plays for about 2 hours before demanding food and nappy change.. though she pooped 20 minutes from home last time so we had to stop and change her and she screamed the last 20 minutes! She is better than the bigger ones on long journeys they are always sick and need a wee or clean clothes or a new car seat or just whine..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

Is he doing it on purpose. Charlotte went through a wetting phase before Christmas but I noticed it was deliberately attention seeking when I said "hang on a minute" as I was busy and couldn't give her immediate attention. Like she'd ask me to do something while I was cooking and I'd say something like "in a minute, as I need to stir this sauce till it boils" so she'd stand and wet herself! Just had to keep telling her how naughty was to do that and I was disappointed with her behaviour. As it was near Christmas, the threat of naughty girls not getting any presents worked well
The first time we took Charlotte to Turkey was just after her 1st birthday and the flights were from Manchester early morning. We decided to put her to bed in clothes, then just lift her from bed to car at 2am and hopefully she would stay sleep all the way there. It didn't work like that and we had two hours of her singing her head off so nobody got any sleep in the carHere I go again on my own....0 -
Thanks guys, we have done 2 hrs already in the car as both sets of parents are that far away. I have also taken him on a train for 1.5 hrs and he slept the whole way through. It is just the 7 + hrs needed to get from Swindon to Edinburgh. We are planning on stopping every 3 hrs as this is the gap between feeds. The have at least an hr at one stop to give him lots of time to stretch and play, we will be having this stop at Tebay as we love it, and if the weather is ok we can feed the ducks
Thanks for reassuring me that our current plan is about right and we will just have to wait and see. On the return we are stopping in Manchester with family for the night. Unfortunately for William he will be having his three jabs (16 wks) the day after we get back!! oh well not a lot i can do about that, at least Daddy has that day off too, so our last family day of our short break.
I am about to test my washing of nappies with poo stains and will be back to report later. I do wet pail and use Tea Tree oil in the water instead of napisan as this was advice i got from my cousin. We will see.Leopardlady
