Hey Giz, hope the operation goes well if you have to have it and that you'll feel much better soon.

Thanks for the link Aless, will read it in a bit. Sorry to hear you were ill, I've had a vomiting bug from Erin twice since she started nursery (sept) and it's just awful.

This morning I had a thought about co-sleeping...if you BF, I would recommend doing it at least sometimes, BECAUSE...Finn is 14 months old and because we've never really coslept, whenever he's in bed with us, he automatically expects be latched on to booby and doesn't really sleep (nor do I!). So I think if we had done a little bit of cosleeping early on, he wouldn't have this automatic booby connection with the bed IYSWIM? Just a thought...on mornings that he wakes up at 5am, it would be useful if he would just sleep instead of needing booby in his mouth the whole time. :)

thanks for all the well wishes.

i had an ultrasound and trans vaginal yesterday whish picked up retained products. i then had the erpc last night. lost a lot of blood again so another transfusion.

feeling quite well this morning. expressed a feed on an electric pump last night for when in op and was pleased that it was oonly 5 mins quicker than my manual to get the same amount so will def be mse and stick to manual pump. and even better, dd took the whole bottle!

then they showed me how to bf lying down and it was lovely. gives breast a break as she sucks diff bit. and after she falls asleep on my breast - so cute. so i'm having positive bf experiences at the mo.

i will post more when home. this has taken ages to write.

ah giz that sounds great, hopefully back to full health soon and with BF going well too xxx

Been for a massive walk this morning and worn the kids out, doing roast for late lunch then OH is going to work. I hate when he does overtime.

Bob fussed quite a bit last night, he wasn't hungry but he is really snotty at the moment so I think he is just struggling to have a really long sleep. All his naps were short yesterday too.

I'm not looking forward to the rush tomorrow morning but I am looking forward to a few hours peace in the day when the big uns go back to school.

Pleased to hear you are getting plenty of help with breastfeeding Giz. Hope you are well enough to come home soon.

  • Afternoon all. I'm feeling a bit of a stranger round here at the moment. I never get to post on the days I'm at work but at the moment the days I'm not at work are so manic I don't have time to post then either! This week being half term we have had to fit in visits from my brother and Izzy's cousin, which is lots of fun, but very busy! Plus work at the allotment and a birthday party in London and going swimming twice. No wonder I'm tired! And when I am here I'm busy trying to get points for vouchers on swagbucks/bingo port/surveys/etc ... I think I'm going a bit overboard there - it is all turning into a bit of a chore!

Oh, and quiet bedrooms - I remember reading somewhere about putting a not-tuned-in radio in the room with teeny ones is meant to be a good plan.

Afternoon all, well anyone who is around. Is there anyone who can help with poo stains?? DD only goes every few days but when she does she explodes everywhere. Her poo is orange (think Indian tikka) and despite trying hot washes, stain remover and overnight soaking lots of her vests, suits are ruined. Is there anything I can do to rescue them, or at least stop her other clothes going the same way next time it happens?

can't vouch for it but i've seen recommendations of sunlight bleaching poo stained nappies...not much sun at the mo tho.

i'm staying one more night. i could go home tonight but tehy've said i could stay till morning which i've opted for. i feel more rested here. they seem happy that ive chosen to stay.

bleeding has slowed right down and not had any tummy pains. altho the real test will be when i'm up and about. hoping i'll be 100% for 8th march for the boyzone concert.
