Becles - you are a stunner! don't let anyone tell you otherwise, C is incredibly lucky to have you and frankly I think its about time he realised that.
A big resounding DITTO.
LOL, Smartie...I know what you mean. Sometimes it would be nice if post preggo belly did put DH off, LOL. He just tells it makes me more attractive (!!). It is hard to say how long they should feed for since it depends how good baby is at getting the milk, but I would think feeding every 3-4 hours is probably average at this age.
Massive hugs to those whose DHs are making them feel unattractive. I have nothing constructive to add, except to say that I hope you can work through it. It must be a really horrible situation to be in.
I think every 1-2 is more what I experienced :A0 -

Marian Keyes is fab. She does chik-lit at its best. And Rachels Holiday is a once of her finest. I hope the parents take you up on the book offer and escape between the pages to Dublin and New York for a good laugh.:D
I used to love MK, especially Rachel's Holiday, and any of the ones about that family in general. I was so disappointed with her latest one tho. I can't think of the name at the moment but it was set in a block of flats. I felt it was totally different to all her others and she was trying to be like Cecilia Aherne.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

I know you love him, and I don't think I have ever been in love so I probably can't relate, but why would you stay with someone who doesn't make you feel wanted/desireable/attractive?
He's a good laugh and I like his company.
My DD, Nina Rose, is 6 days old arriving in the world at 42 weeks weighing 8lb 6 oz (birth story in the usual place if anyone is interested).
Congrats - it's lovely to have you with us.
Personally I would throw the weight charts in the bin. I really hate them! As long as Nina is feeding well and settled after a feed and seems content in herself, I wouldn't worry about where her weight is on a chart. You'll be able to see in her if she loses weight or puts on weight dramatically which would be cause for concern.
I did get my eldest weighed regular and got myself all worried as he was always underweight but he turned out fit and healthy. I never bothered getting the other two weighed much and just trusted my natural instincts.redmel1621 wrote: »I do need a little whinge too....I am at my wits end with dinner times, trying get anything cooked and dished up! Sorry to hear that.
Could you use a slow cooker and steamer some days? You can put a casserole in the slow cooker on a morning and put the veg in the steamer baskets, then you just need to switch the steamer on near tea time.
I do that if I know I'm going to be busy on an evening as I do some audits that have to be done at 5pm. Josh gets left with an instruction to turn the steamer on and it's all ready to be dished up when I get inHere I go again on my own....0 -
Definitely every 1-2 hours! The longest we ever got, even as T got older was 3 hours!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Lovely:) I also think you are stunning and can't see why he is jumping on you at every opportunity;)
This might sound weird but do you think it is more to do with the fact that you want another baby and he doesn't? I know dh was a bit worried that I might 'accidentally' fall pregnant as I am not adverse to more children and he definitely doesn't want any more!!!
Sorry to hear that.

I could do that..........
But tbh I am that fed up that I have to juggle EVERYTHING, and by me doing that it doesn't solve the real issue:cool: Will probably resort to doing that anyway though as I'm not sure I could deal with everyone eating 'junk' all week!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

I felt the same for a while but now OH is working nights so its really only 2 little uns I need to cook for, the last week they have had, scrambled eggs on toast, beans on toast, cheese on toast, roast on sat and fish fingers and chips with veg. They have plenty of fruit and salad and veg as well so I'm going easy on myself. If I do cook something I normally freeze loads too so if we have spag bol tomorrow we will have loads in the freezer for the next couple of weeks. I figure if they get 2-3 decent meals a week than we are doing ok because I don't need the extra pressure and its not bobs best time of the day. I just cook something proper when OH has his days off.0 -
Thank you ladies for the warm welcome.
I'm not too concerned about being 2% over the "norm" but we are having real issues settling her - we were up ALL night two nights ago and OH is putting this down to her not feeding enough, like the boob is the answer to everything! We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0
