Nah, bstds won't process the order, (excuse my Anglo Saxon, but I'm not happy). Got an email from them on Tuesday saying that my bank refused to honour the payment (yeah, right), so I've done it on another card, but I haven't had the email confirmation yet.....:dance:There's a real buzz about the neighbourhood :dance:0 -
Cats: Bung some wholemeal flour in and then you can pretend it's healthy, just for heaven's sake don't bake the chocolate bread then buy some nutella to spead on it, I made that mistake! ;-)[/QUOTE]

Just made my first basic loaf and its yummy, am so impressed with myself. Next time aim not to spend almost all the cooking time peering through the window to see whats happening though! Had bit of trouble getting it out but for 1st attempt brilliant! One day the big prize will be mine!

my porridge oat bread came out lovely, thoroughly recommend it! Nice with a cup of tea and a little spread of butter.0

I've just given away my RM compact and "upgraded" to a Russell Hobbs - just to get larger loaves! But re. the sticky blade problem - you need to clean out the centre of the blade (a cocktail stick works well) as tiny pieces of dough often get baked on. Also, I used to push a little marg into the hole before putting it in the bm and it rarely stuck."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

I've spent a bit of time playing with my fastbake over the past couple of days. The only real difficulty I'm having is cutting it....I have a decent carving knife but I think I must be a bit coq eyed as my slices seem to be thin at one end and thick at the other.
Does anyone think it's worth investing in a slicer like the one Lynz linked to here?
Family's opinions so far :
French bread: Ok but a bit chewy (six out of ten)
Sandwich loaf: Fantastic! Much better than shop bought! Six year old..."I love this bread, the breadmaker can stay!" (ten out of ten)
Just putting a basic (with a few seeds added) loaf in to try out the timer....I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow.
