Husband's just been fined for dropping cigarette butt!

As for smoking around hospitals one of the funniest was not long ago I was walking past the entrance doors and a group of people were all there smoking their heads off, the entrance was to 'The Chest Clinic'

you are new to the forum I see which is evident in your statement that you think everyone is being "unreasonable". You are in for a shock on this forum if you think people on here are being unreasonmable!

Please don't speak for me - I have never thrown a cigarette butt out of a car or anywhere else for that matter.

Well, I personally hate to see the ground littered wirh cigarette butts. The filters do not degrade for a long time. Getting fined is a tough lesson, but littering is anti-social and costly. Millions of pounds of other people's money is spent clearing the streets because of lazy people who can't be bothered to dispose of their little in a responsible way.

Carp is an acceptable alternative spelling to get by swear filters on some forums.

A bit like saying sugar instead of...well something else.

Yes, I was taught littering was illegal at school, but stupidly and naively just thought cigarettes just degraded into the ground. I KNOW IT IS STUPID.

Talk about being accepting of others, it's not like I am smoking in your faces or anything! Just merely trying to help others!

Take no notice of the so called goody 2 shoes who obviously have never done anything wrong in there sad lives ( so it would sound from some of there replies ) most of them are so far stuck up there own !!! they think there royalty. some of us do appreciate the warning

I was following a car recently when the driver threw a butt out of his window.It hit my car like a firework and lodged under the windscreen wiper, burning a hole in the edge,ruining it.
i was thinking if it had gone down the scuttle panel, it could have set the car on fire.
So i think its great he was fined for doing this disgusting habit , he obviously did not care about the consequences of his actions and deserved to be fined.
Dont try and justify his actions by comparing to other forms of littering ie- mc ds that is also a problem.
tell him to ear his butts next time
