We all do stupid things, but it's arrogant, rude and self richeous to make out our stupid acts should not be criticised.

Also, "everyone does it" isn't even an excuse for anyone over the age of 13, and people whose noses are put up by such talk are being reasonable in responding negatively.

Yes! That's it! There are worse crimes in the worlds! So... things that are not as bad as the worst crimes in the worlds should never be punished, no, not so much as criticized!

Your brilliant observation will save loads of money on poilce time and prison space spent investigating and punishing theft, assault and car crime while we concentrate on rapists and murderers. Fantastic!
