feefeegabor,
I had the same problem when they cancelled a DVD about a year ago. The other items meant I got charged postage because it was under the free shipping price.
Amazon will refund you the postage, but only after the items have shippedBe nice0 -
Thanks biglugs - perhaps I should!
Bigger thanks to Smashed - I feel better now - thank you.0 -

However, having checked the other items I ordered at the same time as the Disney DVDs (which just disappeared from my order with no explanation) they are sending me the other three items ordered, but have now charged me £3.93 postage because it now falls under £15.00!!! Not very happy about this at all and have fired off a quick email. I am not happy about speaking to them - the two people I have spoken to recently from Amazon have not seemed to understand a word I have said (nor me them). Any ideas anyone?
I had the same problem my order fell 20p short for the free postage after the dvd's were cancelled but I did get a refund on the postage when I pointed it out it was their cancellation which caused it..hope that helps0 -
I've used my £5 voucher on the disney bogof offer. So two disney dvds for a total of £8.96 (for some reason it has allowed me supersaver free delivery - see below). Not the bargain that the 10 boxset would have been...but still worth having:beer:

I'm more than happy with the £5 as Amazon didn't have to give any compensation if they didn't want to.
This section of MSE has grown into a monster and if people don't get misprices or bargains its straight into the compensation culture route. Makes me sick.
Good on those that got the box (hope the OP did) and good on Amazon for giving some compensation.
Next bargain please.
Well said! My thoughts exactly. :T"Whatever happened to string?"0 -

Ho hum, can't be bothered with amazon anymore, they really mucked around when i rented dvd's from them too, so I've become less and less impressed. But then it's not the india call centres fault, or jo bloggs who works for them. People are right, £5 is an adequate compensation, but I won't be using it as have no intention of buying from them anymore, and if that makes me a greed filled monster then so be it, puts me on a parr with the fat cats who run amazon.
I'm ticked off because they cancelled my order without telling me and I had scrubbed several names off my xmas list already thinking they were sorted (yes, I'm cheap, I was going to split the boxes) and if it wasn't for this forum I would still be thinking that until mid-Nov when it would dawn on me that the DVDs hadn't actually shown up.

Guess whats back IN STOCK? Now @ £90.90
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000B7VZII/ref=ord_cart_shr/026-6586432-2763637?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
Just gave em a call and was told that the original item became out of stock at the price previously advertised. The new stock they've just recieved is at the new price of £90.99
So the guy from the compensation dept that called me on Friday and guaranteed me that there is no way this item will ever come back in stock was full of BS.
He did though manually add the £5 credit to my account as I hadn't recieved the cancellation email with voucher code. But I'm still pretty miffed as to make it worse, when I log onto Amazon it's listing the Disney DVD Boxset as 'Items I may be interested in'.

Hmmm. The email they sent said...
We have now been advised by our suppliers that they will no longer be able to supply this title. As a direct result of this information, we have had to cancel your order for the DVD title "Cinderella/Bambi/Mary Poppins/Alice in Wonderland/Dumbo".
I really wasn't bothered by this at all, until now... Why do they need to lie? They should have just said "Sorry - it's mis-priced", and everyone would have just shrugged their shoulders and moved onto the next bargain.0
