Hello!
I've missed all of this going on, but have just logged into my amazon account and it's not there so I assume I haven't got it either. I'd have loved to get it at that price, but I wasn't depending on it. I'm glad some people got it though, better than no one getting it. I haven't recieved a cancellation email yet, are they sending out the £5 goodwill with the cancellation, or are people having to email and ask for it?0 -
Princessa, my £5 off a DVD voucher came attached to the bottom of the cancellation email.mike1212 wrote:hi spoke to a lovely lady in ireland about them having stock and she told me it is a mistake it isn't in stock.
I would be surprised if the items were not in stock with the website showing a new price and "In Stock" - Amazon are usually pretty good with the stock situation.
I've just had another email from them stating again that they are no longer able to obtain the item...
Until recently we had still hoped to be able to obtain the item "Cinderella/Bambi/Mary Poppins/Alice in Wonderland/Dumbo" from our supplier. As we are currently unable to offer this item, the item has been cancelled from your order, and you have not been charged for it.
...I've suggested they check their own website...0 -
aaaaagggghhhhhhh! i thought you were exagerating the communication problems - blummin nightmare - don't call me Madame
same as many others order cancelled got my £ 5 but pushed the rest of my order to incur delivery costsi'm living in a parallel universe0 -
I've now had 3 different emails from Amazon stating that they are unable to obtain stock of this item (and waiting for another reply), despite the item being in stock on the website.
Why can't they just say it was a mis-price and have done with it? Despite dealing with Amazon since the beginning, I've just learnt something about them. I'm just not keen on a company that is likely to lie in order to cover their own errors.0 -

Just gave em a call and was told that the original item became out of stock at the price previously advertised. The new stock they've just recieved is at the new price of £90.99
So the guy from the compensation dept that called me on Friday and guaranteed me that there is no way this item will ever come back in stock was full of BS.
He did though manually add the £5 credit to my account as I hadn't recieved the cancellation email with voucher code. But I'm still pretty miffed as to make it worse, when I log onto Amazon it's listing the Disney DVD Boxset as 'Items I may be interested in'.
Why can't I see the £90 page unless I click on the imageshack link? When the first link loads I get an Amazon page showing £67.94 and it's been the same since Friday. Deleting cookies and refreshing shows the same page.
Btw, I called this morning and was PROMISED (after a long conversation), a call back from senior management within 1 hour. Guess who's still waiting after nearly 4 hours? :rolleyes:0 -

Yes, they have now changed the page back to showing only third party sellers... but not before I saved a copy of the page - not that it will do any good.
It was definitely showing as "In Stock. Dispatched from and sold by Amazon.co.uk" for £90.99 though.
Not impressed.0 -
I spoke to them.. played naive... couldn't be arsed to push it because the guy was nice. Fair is fair, obvious misprice.. he told me that it was a misprice. Said he'd give me £5. Said they'd had hundreds of calls.
Didn't get the email but he told me I should still get it and please go ahead and use both!0 -

I agree - that's fair enough. I don't think anyone would be bothered if they had just said "Sorry, mis-price...", but they keep telling me it is due to "availability issues".
Oh well...:rolleyes:0 -

So if it was a misprice.... why did it take 2 weeks for them to cancel orders?? Communication !!!!-up all round.0 -
OK that's me very riled now!!
No box set, no e-mail, no explanation, no voucher. This is ultra-shoddy.
A lazy request on my part: does anyone have an address of someone in customer service to whom I could write a letter? TIA.0
