hi spoke to a lovely lady in ireland about them having stock and she told me it is a mistake it isn't in stock. i was then told the original price of £17.97 was a mistake and not a special promotion. I explained how i hadn't recieved my £5 voucher so she sorted that while i was on the phone. my thoughts on amazon are alot better than sat,

I was promised compensation twice and have received nothing until now ... I have decided to let go ...0

I have been given the run around since last week. I ordered it on the morning of the 13th and my sister then ordered her one in the afternoon nearly 4 hours later. To my suprise I got a cancellation email on Saturday and then spoke to my sister who told me she had received her set on the Friday.
I rang them up and was told that none had been sent out from AMAZON UK so no orders had been filled. So I quoted the Order Number from my sisters Account, and hey presto she put me on HOLD then another woman claiming to be a manager spoke to me and was a little quiet. I managed to prove that they were trying to lie to me to fob me off, yet they still only wanted to offer me £10 including the £5 already offered. To say I am appauled is an understatement. Was told I would get a ring back on Saturday, but no phone call so rang again and am waiting again.
I am more annoyed they had the cheek to try to lie to me, will wait to see what they say this time.Mummy to 5 beautiful girls and yes it is very hard work lol x

Ho hum, can't be bothered with amazon anymore, they really mucked around when i rented dvd's from them too, so I've become less and less impressed. But then it's not the india call centres fault, or jo bloggs who works for them. People are right, £5 is an adequate compensation, but I won't be using it as have no intention of buying from them anymore, and if that makes me a greed filled monster then so be it, puts me on a parr with the fat cats who run amazon.
I'd happily use your £5 voucher if you are not using it! I just found a DVD I want at reasonable price. A PM would be very appreciated!
I would have thought Amazon would have been sensible enough not to put the product back in stock - especially as most people had been told the DVD's would arrive until early November... so having stock before the due date of people's orders seems out of order. As previous posters have said - it is the way they handled it. They should have just said it was a pricing mistake.0 -

Just gave em a call and was told that the original item became out of stock at the price previously advertised. The new stock they've just recieved is at the new price of £90.99
So the guy from the compensation dept that called me on Friday and guaranteed me that there is no way this item will ever come back in stock was full of BS.
He did though manually add the £5 credit to my account as I hadn't recieved the cancellation email with voucher code. But I'm still pretty miffed as to make it worse, when I log onto Amazon it's listing the Disney DVD Boxset as 'Items I may be interested in'.
That is not very fair, can't we do anything about it?0 -
I didn't get an email, so I emailed them, got a bog standard reply - but didn't worry, in the end went back to Amazon and put the £3 gift vouchers I had (which I got from doing a couple of surveys) on 3 dvd sets that hubby will love for Xmas - they were reduced from £29.99 to £8.97 so did that instead. Needless to say if I hadn't ordered the dvd box set of 10, I wouldn't have looked for these other sets - so all in all, it's worked out okEveryone has a photographic memory, it's just some of them don't have film.0

i know this sounds cheeky but if anyone does have any £5 codes they dont want i would love to take them off your hands
