Disney DVD 10 movie boxset for £17.97 delivered [CLOSED]

this was meant to come by 24th - only got the email this morning - reading on here i decided to phone up - was told they have only just become aware of this matter this morning - i laughed at him and told him nonsense as it has been going on all week,. so why lie - i said i know you have had meetings and that about it and if i didnt get a satisfactory response i would get on to watchdog, he said he will get his manager to phone back....

i also said the item is still available as i put it in my basket and got to the checkout with it.....it is now 69.95 - i wasnt the dvd set not the money - for my nephews 1st birthday last monday...

Sorry to tell you all that I have got the dreaded email stating that they are not able to supply my order, they have however given me a £5 gift certificate . They say that they are not able to locate the goods and apologised for the length of time it took to coclude that this item was not available.:mad: :mad:

Right, just called them back and they are putting us all in a callback queue for the compensation dept, which will call us by 6pm tonight to discuss our issues.

Just spoke to a CS rep who told me that they had been advised that £5 is the most compo that they can offer now. I've got another order outstanding from July so I've asked for a callback from a supervisor but hey, even if we don't get any more than £5 that's not bad just for placing an order in the off chance.

How bizarre - I got the email telling me my order was cancelled and offering the £5 compensation. It arrived at almost the same time as the Parcelforce man with my DVD set!!!! Now what do I do?? Argue for more compo??
Think I'll just keep quiet.

Ignore the cs rep, they cannot tell you anything, you still need to speak to a supervisor or manager, I have an offer of 10 quid already which they have to honour as a minimum so hopefully will get a bit more

I wanted the set but never really thought I would get it. They did not have to offer £5 comp but I am well happy with free money, especially in the run up to Xmas!

I too thought it was too good to be true but after hearing some people have recieved the box set i am fairly annoyed.

When I mentioned that some people have taken delivery, he said that those will have been the early orders. He said that they had taken too many pre-orders.
