I dont want to use callback again as I dont want to speak to the Philippines again ..... bad line and bad accent. When I phoned the 0800 number the lady had a strong Irish accent. Will try the 0800 number again later.0

Just got off the phone - Guy called 'Joe' first put me on hold then came back saying there had been 'A supply chain issue' and they were in the process of sending out emails to everyone with the offer of £5 compensation.
I told him, I hadn't yet recieved any emails and the offer of a £5 voucher doesn't go anywhere near the level of dissapointment I have in not recieving this item - Something that has been on order over 2 weeks and was putting asside for my daughters birthday.
Also, this isn't the first DVD Boxset that's mysteriously vanished form my orders - The Star Wars one a while back was pulled with no explanation.
He said, all he could do was escalate the query which would be passed to their compensation department and they would review the order and get back in touch with me.
So query now escalated and await phone call.
I called the 08002796620 number.

Don't have time to sit on the phone and wait....(lunch break!) so sent off this email to customer services:
I had an order with Amazon for supply of a boxed set of 10 Disney DVDs. I have received an email that this order has been cancelled and offering a £5.00 gift voucher. The email states that your suppliers are unable to source the item. I am happy to wait until the goods are available again as I have confirmed with Disney that this is a currently produced boxset. Alternatively I am happy to personally source the item elsewhere and invoice Amazon for the difference is actual price I pay and the amount the goods were offered for by Amazon.
I am not happy to accept the £5 gift voucher as full and final settlement of this matter. I look forward to hearing your response shortly.
Regards
My point is...if they admit pricing error is one thing...but to state that can't source it is rubbish as it is a current disney product clearly available from stock from several other suppliers. I'll see what outcome this gets.0 -
Hi All
Make sure you persist on this theaten legal action for breach of contract. I am quite happy with the offer I got £45 and spent it sraight away 7 DVDs worked out better for me as in the 10 disc set we already had 3 of the disks.
Tell them that you want the difference between what you were paying and the other price you could buy it for. The price is going up all of the time as the other marketplace retailers sell out.
Good luck to everyone and dont accept the first offer.0 -
I called through about an hour ago to a guy called Edward who wasn't English. I told him I'd ordered 2 weeks ago, checked a few days ago everything looked fine with delivery estimates etc. but today it's gone from my account.
He proceeded to say there was a price error so it's been cancelled I should have an email with that £5 voucher in - I told him I'd checked this morning and nothing. I said I was a loyal customer, heard nothing in 2 weeks blah blah. He offered me £7. I rejected he offered me £10 saying it was his max. I said I'd like to speak to his supervisor. He said she'd tell me the same thing so I was like OK then I'll here it from your supervisor. Was told to call back in 30 mins to speak to them but I wanted to leave my phone number to get a call back. He said there's no guarantee they'll be available so I was like well what's the point me calling then? Went on hold for 5 mins, he brought me back saying they've sent me the email so checked while on the phone and said yes I've got it an hour ago with £5 but only have 1 month to use it - that's not very friendly. Told him my colleague at work's just been given £15 by you, why is he more important then me. He offered me £15 saying this time it really was his max.
I bet you could push for more but I took it and got the code via email while still on the phone. So now have £5 to use in 1 month and £15 to use in 1 year. Not bad.0
