I too have just spoken to someone who has advised me a supervisor will call me back asap. I too would be grateful if anyone who has been offered better compensation than £5 would be willing to PM me their e-mail addy and name so that I can quote something at them when they call me back (just in case they are evasive over the matter).

No good... tried no result. They have all been told not to give any "concessions" on this anymore. Good on those who got in there quickly, but this has now been flagged and all you will be told is to check your junk folder. Not been put through to supervisor.

Still on the phone but apparently they have told all team leaders to refuse to give any compensation over £5

Update, spoke to the manager, and she is adding £25 to the £5 originally offered....That'l do for me!

Ordered on 13 Oct, with First Class Delivery .... order had disappeared from my account, emailed them to find out where my order was ... got some bog standard email advising pricing error, no voucher etc .... replied as follows :

'I note from your email " We're sorry that you feel aggrieved with our decision not to accept
your order for the "0**-*******-*****42".

Firstly I did not feel 'aggrieved' as I was not aware that you did not accept my order until 27 October when my order was placed on 13 October, as there was no notification from yourselves that this was the case until now.

Secondly this is only the 2nd time I have ordered with Amazon and the 2nd time I have been disappointed in the service that Amazon offers.

In my opinion Amazon should not be advertising these goods at said price and showing expected delivery dates if they do not have stock .... or is this a ploy from Amazon for a buyer to order goods, not receive goods but feel as though would have to chose an alternative or therefore be disappointed with no goods, or letting a family member down.

So, would I recommend Amazon to anyone else ..... then answer would have to be NO.

First 2 orders I have placed have been a total let down, should I guess 3rd time lucky ? perhaps thats a chance I am not willing to take when there are so many reputable companies with excellent customer service available on the internet.
