I received a phone call from Biscit today telling me that my broadband would be working again from around tomorrow (wednesday 20th) lunchtime. I was given a new username to login with (just the part after the @ has changed). This happened after I phoned them yesterday evening and asked what was going on, how long the 'authentication realms' would take to be transfered back to Biscit and would they please either give me a connection or a MAC code. I was surprised to receive a call, as when they took my number before nothing happened.

My take on the reprovisioning situation is that they've got hundreds or thousands of customers to get back online, and it takes a little while to do each one and so they priortise the ones who whinge the most. On the other hand, maybe everyone who requested reprovisioning will be back online relatively quickly?

I also checked with them to make sure I would not have to start a new twelve month contract, and they confirmed that my contract would continue from where it left off.

Another day another different way for Biscit to mess things up.

Cannot find the Speed-mail site. When I used to google for it the third find was ALWAYS the Horde powered S/Mail site
So if anyone can find me a link to a page that allows me to access my Speed-mail emails I would appreciate it.....and any explanations too.

You can't rely on a google search to always list sites in the same order. The google software lists them according to criteria determined by google. It can change for all sorts of reasons. Not particularly anything to do with any of the sites on the list.

I think you are probably trying to find this site:

So are you back on BB with Biscit then onerob?

Also, what was the new part of your login after the @? I bet it was @biscit.net? Only a guess.

Yes, I've been back on for a couple of days. I suggest phoning Biscit / V21 after 5:30pm and making it clear to them - whilst remaining relatively friendly - that what is going on is beyond a joke and could someone, somewhere please do somethig soon about your connection or give you a MAC code or cease the contract.

Send me a private message via this forum and I'll let you know the changed username.

(And in case anyone is wondering, I DO NOT work for them or any ISP)

To ex-prog; ta for posting link. It is same one I got earlier from a kind helper at another site.

Cannot find that link in a google search at all....only the altered address to include V21....something HAS changed and it isn't the google preferences. And the V21 link refuses to let me access the account ("invalid details" lie).

Yet again Biscit/V21 have made unannounced changes that stifle the paid for use by 'customers' and with no replies to emails/calls/voicemails/letters etc. And huge stretches of refused net access on the one officially granted 025 ending number, over the last 7 days (but not at the moment midday 21/12....wow!)

Quite appalling approach to business provision from Biscit and consistent with conditions since their takeover of Fast4.

And Ofcom, ISPA etc seem content to let UK consumers be treated like this. Must all concerns have to end up in expensive legal pursuits?

I've just tried and it worked for me.

I'd lost that address and tried it to see if I could access any more info,but no luck.

Still waiting for any contact from biscit /v21 re over payments !

Law of diminishing returns has taken over tho!

dial-up connection is REALLY bad today.........almost non existant

anyone else finding it particularly bad today?

I gave up trying earlier this afternoon - oops it's just disappeared - back now.

My tiscali backup showed a good speed but very ,very slow, did what I wanted then disconnected.

Just thought I'd try again to check earlier business and its working ,but have known better- probably due to some sort of holiday thing going on!
