Today I connected to Primus broadband .
I had to phone then for a bit of help logging in and email problems .All sorted and going well .
It is great having a freephone number for Techie help .

Again I ask, have any customers staying with V21/Biscit been re-connected with BB yet?

If not, when will it happen?

Also, has anyone noticed that the v21 freephone dial up number does not work now? Your only option for dial up access is through their rip off 0845 number!

I thought I'd let you know how I got on. I seem now to be back to my normal cheerful self, not some 18R Victor Meldrew grouch who screams "I don't ****%^%ing believe it!" at the phone.

I am back on BB with NewNet, but it took till thursday to do so.

Nothing to do with Newnet - when I tried to connect nothing happened: adsl sync light on router kept flashing. After lots more hassle and being unable to reset my modemby any method I realised it had been fried at some point since Nov 15. Panic - I decided to get the cheapest I can from https://www.ebuyer.com and get it delivered the next day.

Wait in all day Wed - no delivery. Furious I phone another useless no answer helpline (for citylink deliveries). Eventually have to go to depot in Lower Sydenham on Thursday to collect it. Find various disatisfied customers there and have a moaning sess about how useless citylink are. (I also think they massively overwork their drivers, from what some have said to me when they actually manage to deliver).

I do recommend eBuyer - I've always had good service, and they have taken back malfunctioning goods and refunded/replaced with no probs. Out of about 10 deliveries Citylink went awol on 2: not good enough.

However new modem works fine, was up and running in 10 mins.

I don't know if I have lost any work out of this debacle. However I reckon that in terms of the overcharging of V21/Biscit, costs of new modem, and hanging onto helplines for hours it has cost me over 200 quid.

I'm having charges refunded from my CC, but if Biscit give me any more trouble, I'm going to do what another poster suggested and take them to the small claims court.

Finally - I want to thank all the posters in these biscit threads for their help, support and advice.

Yes we are with NewNet,very helpful and 0845 so not too bad, and a months notice and no charge for moving on.

I cannot and will never understand how anyone wants to stay with V21/Biscit.

Our modem worked very well and of course as all was in place with Newnet all we had to do was wait for BT to turn us off and then they turned us back on again so soon, it was up and running in a couple of days.

ps we gave things from E buyer, they are very good, but as you say if you are notin City Link are a pain. We ordered a laptop bag from them to be sent to our son at another address specially ordered for delivery Monday next, it arrived on Saturday!! That is what we wanted but it would have cost a lot more, so they must be very busy, however, our son is chasing City Link in Gloucester for stuff they had ordered for the kids and having a really bad time. oap

Not been able to dial up for about 24hrs but okay now. Nothing on their status page about this lack of service.

I'm seriously considering starting up my own VISP so I can be responsible to myself!

Same NO CONNECTION for me too.....0630 - 1100 SAT and nothing all today til 1700 then no sites loading from 1800......so disconnected and tried to get online again and....TIMED OUT again!

BUT ISP REVIEW poster gave alternative numbers he said works for him.... when the regular 025 ending was TIMING OUT....and worked for me at 1810

So Alared...try this one if you get problems...

Still never been able to access members console nor get replies to emails,letters, voicemails, live phone operators etc from Biscit since 31/10/06 and unwarrented payments taken Oct never repaid.
