I think your best bet would be to send a letter to Biscit headquarters at

    Biscit
    Berkeley House
    18-24 High Street
    Edgware
    HA8 7RP

I got sick of trying to phone them and email them so I sent a letter off asking for a refund for an overpayment and for them to cancel my account.
They paid my overpayment back and cancelled my account.
    Good Luck!

I think colinw is right perhaps with a little bit of an addition. Spoke to my bank (Smile) only yesterday about the very same thing. The advice I got was to write to them asking them not to take any more payments etc and send the letter recorded delivery. The guy I spoke to went on to say that if they do take any more payments after the letter and any contract conditions then the bank will take it up with Biscit/V21's bank Helpful indeedy if it works and becomes necessary.

Ho ho ho! No, I wouldn't do that to you mate, but watch me take multiple payments out of your bank account instead!

LOL. With an attitude like that you will go far at Biscit - why not send them a CV? :-)

Seriously though, I understand the attraction of 4.99 dialup but it has been so slow and intermittent that it drives you up the wall screaming. The few extra quid for a decent BB connection is IMO money well spent.
  • I'm sticking with them for the moment, I'm on the freephone dial-up at £4.99 a month. I've no intention of going to broadband yet, I just don't use it enough at home to make it worthwhile, and I'm fed up of seeing the backs of my kids heads at the computer screen as it is!

I couldn't get on at the weekend either. (The only time we seem to have problems is when I want to use it, my sons never seem to have difficulties.) I've also found that it goes pear-shaped everytime it comes around to the payment date.

At £5 a month, it's still not a bad deal, but I wish they'd get sorted out, this has gone on far too long.

That's what keeps me going. I used to be with Firefly (in the top 10 ISPs!) and they were driving me crazy with really slooooooowww and intermittent connections. I don't even want to mention some of the others I've tried in the past!

At the moment, when I connect up, it's amoungst the best.

Maybe it's 'cos their present contention ratio is so very low?

This due to the fact that it's only the likes of me, thee and alared that are left using the service? :rotfl:

When I first joined Fast4 three years ago their service was absolutely CRAP.
You could hardly get connected for love nor money.
I downloaded an auto-dialer and set it to keep dialing the number while I went off to do other things.
Very often you could nip up the supermarket and do your shopping while waiting for a connection.
Mow the lawn, even paint a bedroom.
Sometimes it would redial up to 50 or 60 times before you got connected.
This crap service lasted for about 6 months and all was well `til two or three months ago when the Biscit carry-on started.
It`s only the fact that i`m paying £4-99 that keeps me with them and compared to the early days with Fast4 this is great service (sometimes)

So that's what's doing it!

when you and Alered are on, I can't get a connection!

Pack it, the pair of you! :p

Joking aside, my sympathies to those who are still not on, I'd be going un-quietly spare by now.

Another day another different way for Biscit to mess things up.

Cannot find the Speed-mail site. When I used to google for it the third find was ALWAYS the Horde powered S/Mail site but today all I get are links to various V21 site references.....the site seems to have vanished, just as it did when Biscit took over Fast 4 (and then lost all the saved Speed-mail messages).

The one page I found rejects my correct details as INVALID and this has always happened whenever V21 are mentioned on the page....ie no members console access since F4 sold out to Biscit and the facia became V21'd on 7/10/06.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So if anyone can find me a link to a page that allows me to access my Speed-mail emails I would appreciate it.....and any explanations too.

Of course I am not intending wasting a second asking Biscit to investigate since experience has proven their support system is just a big black void: at 10p a minute!
