So are you staying with V21/Biscit then alared? Have you got BB re-connected yet? If not, do you know how long it will take??0 -
Hi there
Just to say connection down yer has needed a couple of attempts for about a week ,then it can still drop out.
Still no communication from v21/biscit-over 6weeks now,but they still owe me 2 payments.
However they seem to be better on taking payments (fingers crossed) with no extra ones taken so far.
I'll still try to contact them but it's now a case of it costing more than any straight refund.Perhaps thats their thinking as well!
If I started out on fast4 dialup ,I reckon I must be a biscit customer, but when I managed to reactivate my email (good old DField-who now ignores everything I send) I was issued with a new password which contained v21 as part of it.
Now this password no longer works when I try the members area!
Dialup is OK for me at the moment but I have been looking at whats available on BB.
This has meant I have looked at other forums apart from MSE and one thing has struck me- it's how polite and helpful everyone has been on these pages, other places seem intent on point scoring or jumping on you if you make a mistaek e.g.you miss a point made earlier .
So a pat on the back for one and all!:TMove along, nothing to see.0 -

I am staying with V21 for the moment, and I haven't had too much of a problem connecting to BB from the moment this fiasco all started. I was originally on fast4 but was moved when they decided to go it alone. I do occasionally get freeze-ups, where it appears still connected but is no longer communicating and I also get the odd timeout or authentication error. These usually go away after midday. I don't believe I was recieving bandwidth from net services when V21/Biscit filed the law suit so my disruption has been minimised. However, everytime I read "server maintenance" and such on the members area, I cringe.
My main problem at the moment is they still have an extra months payment which I would like back. Has anyone actually managed to get through to them by phone or letter yet? You'd think that in the two months from this crap starting, they'd have finally got round to replying to someone.0 -

I am on dial-up at £4-99 a month and as long as they don`t put the price up or take any extra payments I`ll stay with them.
I was with Fast4 for three years but was transferred to this gang without any choice or consultation.
I have never had BB but would NOT consider Biscit/V21 if I decided to go for it.
IMO any company that treats it`s customers the way they have should be avoided like the plague.
Like I said as long as I`m only paying £4-99 a month "unlimited" I`ll stay.
I pay by DD (which I advised everyone to switch to months ago before all this fiasco started) and would not hesitate to cancel if Biscit/V21 do any funny business with my payments.
Are you on BB or dial-up or what.
Contact BT and ask them if your line is clear to change to another ISP.0 -
Thanks for replying Alared, I was just wondering how many old V21 customers who were supplied with BB have decided to stay with Biscit and had their BB re-connected already, or are they still waiting?
On the 11 Dec, Biscit said they were starting to re-connect V21 customers but were waiting for netservices to return V21 authentication codes.
The reason I am so interested is that I am writing a full report about this debacle for the Office of Trading Standards and Ofcom, so any old V21 customers who were supplied with BB and have decided to stay with Biscit despite the recent hassles, please get in touch!
Thanks everyone!0 -
One minute after posting yesterday, I got cut off and wasn't able to dial back on 'til now :mad:alared wrote:I am on dial-up at £4-99 a month and as long as they don`t put the price up or take any extra payments I`ll stay with them.
I'm in the same boat. It does appear to be slowly sinking but I've got one eye firmly on the broadband horizon to keep me going.julianj1 wrote:"At NIXNET We value your custom so much we're going to !!!!!! you about for hours on an 0870 line then cut you off"
Ho ho ho! No, I wouldn't do that to you mate, but watch me take multiple payments out of your bank account instead!
Hmmm, "NIXNET" - I like the sound of that! :dance:I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0 -
I also had a few problems with dialup over the weekend. Used it ok first thing on Saturday with no problem disconnecting and reconnecting until about 11.00, then got connected but couldn't access any web pages. Tried again yesterday between about 7.30 and 11.30 and couldn't get any connection. Working fine this morning since about 7.30.0
