  • My last payment by DD went out on the 15th November ,the same day there service stopped.
I dont think this is covered by the DD guarantee, as they took the payment when they where suppose to and the amount they where suppose to take.

The fact they didnt provide a service isnt the banks fault .Or have I got this wrong ?
My last DD was taken on 15 November too.

Surely these were payments in advance for the next month's service? If the service stops the very same day then the service has not been provided and so surely one is entitled to a refund?

My bank agreed with the logic of this and refunded the payment to me without any quibble (perhaps if it had been say >£50, it might have been slightly different in this latter respect).

However, I'm sure the bank has not met the loss, they will have in turn charged it back to Biscit/V21.

Like credit cards, banks are very keen that we should use DDs so they will always help when there are problems.

Hi all, I rang the bank and the customer services returned my call today, they say that they can reimburse me with the £11.99 taken on 15 November today and they in turn get it back from V21/Biscit. However, if Biscit does not want to give it to them, then the bank will take it back from me as my issue is with Biscit not the bank. Hmmm. I was tempted to say forget it.

Biscit have sent me a new direct debit to fill in, but of course I am now with another isp, and have cancelled the direct debit with V21 which would have been due on 15 December.
This is not what I thought happened with direct debits, so will keep you posted. So far Biscit have not refuned me with the money.

    Regards oap

  • Strange not having this thread not at the top any more, not even on the first page.

I had a reply from customer services this morning regarding the "Customer Portal". I wote to say that I couldn't login and when would it be fixed.

Unfortunately our v21 customer’s portal is closed for good but how ever we will be opening a new customer’s portal for use in the coming month. We do apologize for the inconvenience that has caused you; our latest update on this will be posted on the v21 status website on http://v21status.biscit.net/ thank you.

Doesn't say which 'coming month' though ;) .

It`s been like that for weeks.
I also noticed that after two hours it no longer cuts you off.
At least you can access the members area and keep your eye on the payment dates and the amount.
So far I`ve had one extra payment taken for this month.
If another one is deducted,I`ll claim it back from my bank(direct debit)
