I went to look at this and found that most of the areas are closed unless you are registered. Then found out that I can only register through my 'customer login'. If I could login, I wouldn't be looking for help!!
Sorry, I forget not everyone was already a member. You could try ispchatzone.co.uk for a good collection of V21 customers and the occasional ex staff member.
The Free Talk comment says:Freetalk is provided by a company called Intech Telecom. V21 simply resold their CPS (carrier pre-selection) service for cheaper phone calls. With the current situations and how Biscit seem to be annoying every other supplier of V21's services I would recommend moving back to BT or another CPS.
You can cancel Freetalk by calling Intech on 08700 60 10 10 (that number they answer as Freetalk, or at least used to) or 08700 60 70 60 if that doesn't work (both go to the same office). Cancelling the service will take you back to BT. You can also cancel CPS services straight from BT if you call them on 150. Either way though it takes a couple of weeks.
Details on Intech are available at http://www.intechtelecom.co.uk, they can provide you with cheap phone calls so I'm sure if you ask nicely they'll let you stay on with them and be a direct customer. They're really cool people and will be helpful, say Hi from me if you talk to them.
If you fancy transferring to another CPS company such as Tele2 or Talk Talk you can do so without talking to Intech or BT, a new CPS provider can take over but again it takes a couple of weeks.Capt_Slog wrote:Do you still get the option of changing to DD though?
I like my credit card, and don't want to have to go through the hassle of 'loosing' it, and it seems that the dd option gives you a bit more leverage if they start taking too many payments out
If you do this, accidentally put wrong card details in first.I hear, apparently they can fall back on the card details if the DD fails, but, they can only store one set of card details per customer.

Surely not
Just a helpful hint for anyone who wants to change billing but doesn't trust the system0 -
If you go over to www.zenbroadband.com and type in your phone number where it says "Can I Get Broadband", you'll be able to see if the cease order for your line has been put through yet (and the date of the cease). It's a line checker (for Zen Broadband) to see if you are able to get broadband and to see if you already have broadband on the line. It's handy, as it tells you if there's anything like a cease order in progress. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Same as you I've not had any luck with my stolen payments despite being assured they would be back in my account by 3th Nov.
They must have all my details times over now with all the phone calls and emails.
SUPPRISE SUPPRISE they managed to take this months £4.99 on the 20th Nov,and not even the courtesy of the usual warning email.
Still quite pleased with average 45kbps and was online Sunday over 3 hours uninterrupted.
How do I change to DD? When I joined the only options were Switch or CC.Move along, nothing to see.0 -
still haven't/can't log into members area.
but on the positive side i'm only being charged £2.99 a month so can't really complain!!!0 -

Assuming D Field got your email and has been able to deal with it, try http://webmail.speed-mail.co.uk with your old username and password v21edc.
Been through many pages of this thread and not able to find out if my speed-mail.co.uk email address is still valid (Outlook settings doesn't like the settings any more). Have the emails addresses been changed from speed-mail.co.uk to v21.co.uk or biscit.co.uk or something like that?
I have tried support pages and google but cannot find a guide on how the change was made or what we need to do to Outlook, etc.
Any helpful advise there? It is not MY fault that I never learned to accept responsibility!0 -
I only use their smtp which is smtp.v21.co.uk and works ok at the moment.
Don't use their pop3!I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0 -
Hello, I am gobsmacked, just fished out my adsl modem whichI had put in a drawer, I could not do the dial up, anyway just reconnected just to see if there would be another message of any sort on my computer, and I am connected again, this is weird, I have paid this month, and will go up to the 15 of December, but I have cancelled my direct debit thinking I was going to be taken off on the 24th, until just now I have only been getting a message from netservices saying I have no connection. I have definitely not signed up to their new people, in fact I have done nothing!!
I have had to go into the local library to read your messages, now I am totally confused, has anybody else been reconnected to broadband!!!
Regards oap0
