I've just registered my disgust with BBC's Watchdog (for all the good it'll do).
Grr.

My suggestion would be to Mr Vickers, is to spend £10 on a Credit Report next time you set up a contract with a Reseller!!!
In the meantime I am sure lots of us hostgages, will make our views known to both sides....

I think you should point out that you're not asking for individual ceases, or mac codes now. The easiest way to deal with this is to do a bulk cease for all V21 and Fast24 customers immediately. This is basically what they will be doing on the 24th anyway. Netservices is hanging onto people in the hope of getting some money back by selling the customer base to Ezeedsl. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Have to revisit the bank each time it happens. Crazy that in this day and age you have to spend so much time and effort sorting something like this out!
Dilemma - do I cancel now and find another ISP which will undoubtably be almost double what I'm paying now or ride it out with V21/Bis*it, hoping it will still honour my £4.99 package and doesn't go under.
I`m in the same position having been with Fast4 for over three years and happy with their £4-99 dial-up service.
My next payment by DD is on the 19th Nov and as long as it stays the same price and no extra payments taken,I`ll stick with them (Biscit I assume).
In reality IMO it`s only a matter of time before they cut us off (like what happened to v21 BB) or whack up the monthly price.
Looking around in case the worse happens,I`ll go to https://www.fast4.net for £7-99 dial-up or even consider their BB package @ £15-95 unlimited, monthly contract, free connection.0 -

Thanks for those links, that was useful background.
I was wondering whether some form of global (should I say 'bulk'?) cease might be possible. If that is possible then surely that possibility (and lack of action on it) is the point people should be banging home to Ofcom and their M.P.
Assuming a global cease is possible, you must be right in your suggestion of why it is not being done immediately. No doubt there are rights and wrongs on both sides, but, on the current evidence, my bet is that most of the wrong is down to Netservices.
Fortunately for me dial-up seems to be working fine and I have seen no corroboration of this 'V21 in liquidation' rumour.0 -

It's an 0808 number, so I am assuming it's free. (If I'm wrong - please do tell)Women priests. Great. Now there's priests of both sexes I don't listen to - Bill Hicks.0 -
BT users who go this way should be able to double check online that they are not being billed PAYG. I have set up BT-Yahoo dial up £1.99 for the first month in the hope that I won't need dial up for longer than that. No min contract and you only need give one day's notice.M.E..... Hi alared - yup, I agree except that I feel a bit wary of Fast4 now. I mean, one minute I'm a content Fast4 customer and the next, without my consent or any warning, I'm a V21/Bis*it customer! And yet Fast4 are still going. Obviously, I'm missing something here.
Hate to say it though, but recently the service has been great with no problem dialling up or timed cut-offs etc.
Hence my reluctance to let it go just yet...I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0
