I agree with everything you've said above JoanneJ,
I've had no luck getting through to this shambolic outfit, have sent a couple of emails, left messages and still had no aknowledgement, I only signed up with them to use it for a couple of weeks whilst waiting for my broadband connection - thats another story with the UKonline idiots, but as I have been unable to cancel I'm left with no other option but call my bank tomorrow and report the latest transaction as fraudulent/theft.
I'm sure they'll be contacting me rather soon after that hits.I want to take on capitalism, but cant get the day off work....0 -

Hi JoanneJ, always enjoy reading your posts
You are only reading half the *evidence* which is really causing you to draw incorrect conclusions regarding myself.
But i really don't mind.
There are many ways of producing what *appears* to be *insider* information. Just that some people are slightly more adept than others in those areas
Please don't be put off by myself from taking any actions you have in mind.
I just suggested you consider the situation fully, with the proper advice, before going ahead.
But if you feel it's right, then do it!
There were a few CCJs issued against E7even, but not that many, and this situation is really a picnic compared to that.
Just be thankful you weren't signed up to Fast24
Also, when researching your next isp for broadband, be sure to understand the differences between ISPs and VISPs, so you know what you are buying into0 -

That's the big lesson that other people should learn from all this. Not to rely on ISP-related email for important stuff. It can be unreliable and also locks you into that ISP. Far better to use alternatives, and just use the isp-related account as a *throw away*
People should certainly not rely on emails from only one provider. At a minimum they should have one for emergency use: they only have to do a Google search to find plenty of free email accounts (myway.com being but one).GuessWho wrote:i think some people possibly have unrealistic expectations for the service provided. It is possible to pay four or fives times the Fast4 (Biscit) monthly dialup charge with a reputable broadband company (as i do), and still the demanded guarantees to service are just not there!
Absolutely right. Some people are now obviously seeking to hold V21 to a higher standard than they could get from any ISP.GuessWho wrote:You are only reading half the *evidence* which is really causing you to draw incorrect conclusions regarding myself.

Entirely right. You and others have given all the information necessary for dial-up customers to cancel their accounts by registered post and ‘losing’ their Switch cards to ensure no further payments can be taken. The remedy for not liking a supplier is to use a different one. (The situation with BB is more complicated and I hope that will be resolved, as far as possible, this week.)
Wally: thanks but that posting of mine is way old. I understand that the correct number all V21 users should be using is 0808 993 3025. That number seems to have been working fine for some time now. There were problems over the weekend (- it affected me yesterday [after I’d already done most of what I wanted] but they posted a notice on the status page saying that it had been fixed) and it seems to be working ok now.0 -

I did this a couple of weeks ago. I decided that I had no alternative. I have filled in a form and they are investigating.0 -
I've checked today and found that this months £4.99 has been removed from my credit card.
I know that this is what is supposed to happen, but considering these idiots gave me absolutely NOTHING but aggrevation for the last £4.99 AND charged me for a PAYG dialup on top, I think it's a bloody cheek.
I still can't get onto the customer area via V21 portal. This means that customer services won't answer any of my emails because this is the only route of contact!
I like the dial-up when it's working, let's face it, it is cheap, but what a shower!0 -
how come some people can use the members portal?
i was told there is a problem with it and it's being worked on???
is it just ex fast4 customers that can't login?0 -
Hi, GuessWho,
Thanks for the reply. Still no contact from D Field up to now!
Hi, Carpy,
I am an original Fast4 customer, no complaints until all these changes. I have been able to access V21 Members Portal for the last two weeks without any trouble, however they have ignored all my messages for help over that time, so it doesn't seem to matter if you can get in touch this way, - you will still be ignored!
If you have read my previous posts you will see that I can't log in successfully to retrieve my speed-mail incoming messages, always password rejected! So it seems that lots of people have part of the package they paid for and which parts depends on who re-set your account! Also some people must have got everything sorted, - lucky people!!
Good Luck, Clock0 -

I think outside the box - I can also think round corners.0 -
