We're trying, god are we trying!
I got an email this morning after I mentioned the small claims court, saying they will get in touch shortly about my MAC. I didn't know they'd even ordered me one, and I still don't, as they never replied when I sent an email back asking them. I have 7 more days till my notice period is up. I refuse to give them any further monthly payments, so if I am cut off, I will have to pay another set of activation fees. Which, considering I paid over £90 to cover activation when I signed up, really makes me angry!0 -

Yep, I hear they can store one set of card details, and one direct debit. If I'd had the sense, I'd have changed my card number before I switched over to DD.0 -

Although it gives a choice to create a new V21 email address, these don`t work either.
Luckily hotmail is my main address,so sticking with it.
Like you, I have a gmail address (thank goodness) but thought my speed-mail address had gone - hasn't been working for two weeks or so.
Then I saw a post on the V21 forum recommending one to contact David Field at DField@biscit.net He has certainly been very helpful and sent me the following reply:Your eMail was not available on the new system, so i have recreated it, all messages sent to you, will have been bounced back to the sender. This appears to be the case with a number of Fast4 customers, so i can only apologise.

Apoligies in advance - Rant begins!!!
I know I have been in a better position than a lot of folk BUT after having sporadic or no use of the speed-mail accounts for the last couple of months I've now lost usage on my v21 mail accounts! Great stuff. I desperately need my email as I help with lost dogs and rescues and due to the bl**dy fireworks we are really busy at the moment!!! (This is why I've now lost the plot today).
Noticed this today http://v21status.biscit.net/index.php (sorry - haven't done that right but you get the gist)!!!
I have emailed these cretins to tell them the problems (again and again with no reply - like Groundhog day). No - I didn't ring one of their 0870 or dearer numbers - another con. Got caught a few times previously at the beginning when I thought the problem was with my system.
I have a payment due to be taken tomorrow so will be emailing them (again) to tell them to stick there cr*p service where the sun doesn't shine!!
Will change my credit card or try to get future payments stopped (never was able to transfer to DD which, looking back now, was quite lucky). If they want to take me to court then let them - they'd probably b*gg*r that up too!
Heartily sick of it all. Never have I experienced such a fiasco with a bunch of unorganised, unprofessional morons. Will hopefully have my Primus broadband up and running by the weekend so stuff Fast4, V21, Biscut or whatever they call themselves next week.
I know it is cheap but life is too short for this rubbish - I'd rather pay a bit more for a service I get regularly than cheap for a service that's hit and miss - dump them now - that's what I suggest!!!
Sorry this is of no help whatsoever to anyone but I had to get this off my chest or I would have ended up drop kicking my PC down the street with the frustration of it all.
Rant over.0 -
Over 8 days since a David Miller at Bisc*hit said he would personally monitor my two refunds and as of today still nothing credited back to my card. Plus the same person has ignored every daily email sent since asking for updates (has he been sacked like so many others in this shambolic carve-up?).
Cannot access any Members Console on V21 (tho was never their customer being a Sept F4 victim) so nowhere to check for support (emails to support@biscit get ignored).
H Paterson has exceeded the 7 days allowed to respond to my final letter to him prior to proceeding through small claims and F4/NJP state they are nothing to do with me anymore, despite being the original contract makers.
Net access is working but at (so far) £14.97 per month (and with 14 days of that period being denied ANY net access) that is far too expensive a deal.
Also speed-mail account (the only previous conduit for F4 info transfer eg bill dates etc) has wiped all emails previous to 6/10/06 so that includes initial contract details (very unhelpful for upcoming legal pursuit).
Cheap 'mailing addresses' also imply greater profits to those that engage in dodgy takeovers; rather than allowing savings for customers (F4 gave £5 per month Unlimited Dial Up and didn't use a grubby looking alternative premise; staffed by ONE!)
DID Martin ever investigate this dreadful inconvenience/loss to so many [550+ posts in this thread alone]? See he is helping out the ripped-off hamper customers. Incidentally....in 2006 who would want a hamper? Don't near 24/7 superstores provide all you can possibly eat/drink??? And do you still get it in a basket?0 -

If you do issue a county court claim,I wouldn`t worry too much about them even turning up to defend it.
For the small amount you are likely to claim it wouldn`t be worth their time or cost but atleast you`ll get your money back.

Well, I'm still on!
The little icon at the bottom left of my screen informs me that the speed is 46.6kbps. I don't know if this is the real speed or just some trick of MS0 -

The new webmail interface [Horde?] is interesting (much faster than the old speed-mail one too) and I find that test emails sent from it to my gmail account arrive almost instantaneously.
Let's all hope that things now stay this way...
