In answer to the many replies here, no I am not a subscriber but I do feel your frustrations and yes I am a Police Officer.

Please don't shoot me down. I am only trying to give a professional opinion here and am not criticising anyone. I am just trying to be realistic and say that, in MY opinion, you would struggle to prove dishonesty.

To the poster who said it is no wonder people are losing faith in the Police. That may be the case but we don't write the law (I know a lot of people think we do). It is up to the Governement to change it. There is a very fine line between civil and criminal law and if we, the Police, could convict people on gut feeling or a balance of probability we would massively increase our detection rate.

And to Hana, unfortunately taking someone elses car is a different ball game altogether and there is no need to directly prove dishonesty and is not theft but taking without consent. Sorry!

Thanks for your input Chris, it is welcome.
Obviously these are public forums, and can be a bit of a knock-about with each of us having our own various opinions (which of course we are entitled to), but some comment is perhaps better informed than others.

I can see that the billing issue isn't too straightforward because we already have a contract with these morons!
Well, actually, not these morons, but the previous company, of course.

I suppose the situation may depend on how many people are affected and how quickly (if at all) that the company sorts out the problems.

You hit the nail on the head when you mention our frustrations.

This company is just putting out bland, meaningless statements, not addressing the real issues for people like myself who just want to cancel and be done with them.

When they then start double and triple billing customers, then that is the final straw for many, which is understandable.

Hi Chris - I'm not trying to shoot you down, just trying to get you to (3rd time lucky?) "enlighten us on how you regard these transactions"! You'd make a great politician, by the way! :rolleyes:

I know you guys don't write the Law, which is why I said "...the Law in this country and therefore its' police force...". I'm also VERY aware of the frustrations of, not only the police, but the public at large. In my job as a security systems engineer, I come across more than my fair share of sad stories and injustices because of how the Law stands, I can assure you! I'll bet you have too. We're on the same team!

However, I digress from the issue at hand. The question is, what can be done about these people who are presently taking money left, right and centre and not providing the service?

One thought - clearly the CEO, H.Paterson, doesn't want any bad publicity as this may influence future business. To his credit, he has personally responded to several people on this site. Instead of indiviguals taking issue with him, can we not elect a representitive who, with the power of MSE and it's public forum, might be able to get some results?

Having said that, I'm still waiting with baited breath for the MSE official to come back to us...

on bb v/21 biscit, late fast 4 dial up, ,i still cannot get in or out e mails, tried absolutely everything, including qazwsx today. I tried to get on the ispreview talk website as they are all talking about this, but of course it w ould not accept my e mail address!!!! My friend got his e mail sent to me straight back to him!! What is going on, fed up. regards oap

I've been trying to make sense of things,
1.Speak to a Mark at Fast4-told I am now v.21/biscit customer ,best contact them re no dialup.
2.Try 0870 383 0030 after long wait leave message ,still waiting!
3.Speak to a Dave on 0870 383 0030, told to reinstate old dialup number and everything will be fine. IT'S NOT.
4.Phone 0870etc female says phone lines are down she's only receptionist and is taking phone numbers for others to call back.She says as it's getting late on Friday pm will get call on Saturday. Still waiting.
5.Check e-mail get nagged about user name and password for lin2.biscit nothing works, but do get personal e-mail via fast4.
6.If I am v.21/biscit customer (joined fast4 2 months ago) why have fast4 taken two DD payments in the last week.
7.Off to BS tomorrow to see if anything can be done to stop fraudulent DD being taken .Not optomistic.
Sorry this is no help to anyone but it makes me feel better.
Keep investigating folks ,I support everything you're doing ,wish I could help more.

Hopefully we'll have some more answers tomorrow, there will be people at the other end of the phone again, and the members bit on the website will (allegedly) be up and running again.
RE emails. I'm finding that if I write an email and hit send, it does go. Takes a while, but it does eventually go. And it does arrive where it's going too, have checked.

Thanks for reply Hanna, yes mine go s sent in sent box but so far nobody has received anything. Have tried several testers on v21 they seemed to go, but still waiting patiently. My son has set up messenger for me for now, but only for chatting, do not want to do the e mails bit.regards oap
