I followed Matrix's advice to the Biscit site and whilst no Members area evident, did find email address issued in statement from their CEO for "any problems" whatsoever re FAQ of V21 customers. The FAQa also state original contracts will be honoured....so that should be comfort to those who are now proven Biscit customers.....but what about us??

    Hello guys,

Finally I have managed to find out where the log-in bit is lol

You click here http://portal.v21.co.uk/index.asp to access the so-called V21 CUSTOMER PORTAL and then go further with LOGIN button,

    or just click this: http://portal.v21.co.uk/index.asp?exec=members&channel=members%20login

I have checked my account and it says my payment plan detail is still 4.99 for my "Fast & Unlimited" package.

So let's say our new service provider honours existing contracts (I was with Fast4, then V21 and now, I think, Biscit).

    Not too bad, mates :T

Went to the V21 portal and tried my login details, but it won't let me in! So, it looks like I'm not transfered?

    This is getting annoying.

I'd like to cancel now, but seems to be no way of getting through.

Thanks to Bluu2k for the links but like with poor Capt Slog; that console, (IDENTICAL to the Fast4 one) will NOT allow me to log on; "invalid details" and other lies!

I was unable to log on AT ALL after the 2 hour cut off at 1230 today and failed frequently, from that time until 1630, when I decided to try my initial freefone number, (before the sell-off and the 2nd number was issued) and got connected straight away???!!!

Trading Standards advise to write to

and demand to know what is going on re my contract and who I am with plus the written guarrantee that they honour and deliver the £4.99 UNLIMITED DIAL UP that I purchased on 14/9/06.

Anyone have a postal address for BISCIT; I have had 4 emails to their info@biscit.net (given by their CEO as the place to go for support) bounced back. Biscit's CEO mission statement also states they will honour previous contracts; even if their email avenue is blocked to me.

Very bad customer treatment for those of us who apparently Biscit/V21 do not want; and neither do Fast4/NJP.

The ex-F4 users, like Bluu2k, who seem to be better informed/treated so far, have been lucky; it seems.

Just wondered how Geoffo and other late-2-F4 customers are doing. Have shared experiences with the authorities/consumer w/dogs but nothing doing there neither.

Hi Joanne. Mine has been an odd day. This morning I managed to log in on the new number ok. I have not been able to log in under the old number for ages now.

Then this afternoon, I just couldn't get on and in desperation I tried the old number and it let me in. After 10 mins, I was thrown out, but re-dialled successfully and am in now under the old number.

I tried the V21 member's area, but it wouldn't accept my details, so presumably I'm still a fast4 customer. But it gets stranger and stranger

Hello Geoffo and any other stressed out Fast 4 refugees

Have just sent the BBC mob an update but not sure if it will be followed up; but one has to try; not like Ofcom gives a damn.

Followed links to ADSL and ISP REVIEW sites with their NEWS lists (sorry don't have the links copied but googling will get them)

This describes probably why the takeover has been so shambolic:

    9/10/06
"There has been talk of a 'merger' for quite some time but at the end of September the plans seemed to be crumbling as Biscit reduced its offer following further due diligence checks into V21.

This new offer was rejected by the V21 board as "not in the best interests of its shareholders, customers or indeed staff" (from ISPreview), wording that suggested the merger was becoming more of a one-sided buy-out. The company has announced that V21's board of directors have now resigned and been replaced with the executive directors of Biscit. Also V21's auditors and legal advisors have also been replaced, an announcement of an unusual nature suggesting we may yet find out something interesting about what happened to cause V21 shareholders to accept the offer."

    AND
    27/9/06

Biscit Withdraws Its Offer to Acquire V21

UPDATE: V21 has now issued its own statement - included at the bottom. In an unusual twist, UK ISP Biscit today announced hat it has withdrawn its offer to acquire the entire shareholding of Internet service provider V21.co.uk (V Two One):

A revised offer was made to V21 following receipt of the Financial Due Diligence Report on the affairs of V21 from Biscit's accountants. The offer has since expired.

If we’re reading that correctly and we probably haven't =), Biscit felt that V21 wasn't worth as much as they were asking and made a lower offer, which has been rejected.

    4:38pm Update

In an effort to get its side of the story across, V21 has now issued its own small press release:

    V21 Decline Biscit’s Ridiculous Claims

On 27th September V21.co.uk Ltd declined the offer from Biscit on the basis that it was not in the best interests of its shareholders, customers or indeed staff. The offer as published by Biscit’s own press office in August was to merge the two companies to make a better larger more profitable business.

Over the last few days it has become very apparent that this was not the case and the board of directors of V21.co.uk Ltd voted against any such action.

Judging by the title of v21's response we'd say that there is a fair bit of bad blood between the two ISP’s, although any specifics remain unclear and will probably remain so."

THEY fall out and we get the fallout!!!!

Am on the old number and get cut off every half hour, it seems but re-log on ok......and my £4.99 went out today for the 14/10 advance for another month's UNLIMITED DIAL UP. Still to ISP SUB INET ....same as when signed up.

London, October 17, 2006 – Communications service provider (CSP) Biscit today announces that it is making significant progress in upgrading the quality of V21's networks with new servers, and is well on target to completing the overhaul of V21's entire network backbone by the end of the month.
