I see there are a lot of unhappy Fast 4/ V21 users out there... I'm happy to report that after many days of problems i'm now enjoying 100% trouble free connection to V21 using the 0808 993 3025 number.

Fingers crossed everyones elses gets sorted soon.

Well I still can't get connected using the old number. Has everyone else been able to connect today?
  • Father in law is having the same troubles as described throughout this thread. Tried to connect today and have had no luck on the new or old number. Error 691 comes up saying cannot verify password and username or some such message. Is anyone able to connect to this shambles?

i hope we are going to get some sort of refund or discount off next months (if we are stupid enough to stay?!?!) for all these problems.

what or who are the best people to complain to about this fiasco as from previous experience Ofcom are a waste of space!!!

    Joannej,

Just some questions, if you don’t mind.

Was the engineer from BISCIT or V1?
Did he give any indication of what these problems are? Or an expected timescale? Or whether they only employ trainees?
What email addresses did you send to and did you receive replies from those addresses?

I'm with V21 for my broadband, there are no V21 staff left, Biscit let them all go and closed the office a day or two ago. That's probably a big part of the trouble, a company with only 6,000 customers took on around 30,000, then sacked the staff who know how to deal with them.

I've been trying to cancel my contract for broadband for several days, finally got a reply by emailing the CEO direct. They're ringing me tomorrow.

A lot of the V21 broadband customers have been on to watchdog.

Yippee!! I finally got here!! Took me a month or so, but after problem after problem with Fast4, I finally found this!! That's the good news. The bad is that after reading right through from post 1, my teeny little brain is whizzing around inside my naturally blonde head. Confused isn't the word.

Please will some kind soul take pity on me and explain a few things for me. A little history first: I've been with Fast4 for 18 months. Customer number is 1312_ _. Have been having some of the same problems as everyone else for the past month or so, though haven't experienced all of them

Had thought I was with V21 now as that's who my payment receipts are now coming from, but not sure after reading all this. Am I Fast4, V21 or Biscit? And who on earth are NJP??

Where/when was the other dial-up number issued? I'm using 0808 9933025 and have never been given another number.

Also, one other point, going back to payment receipts, I've had 4 email receipts for Octobers payment. So far they've taken the money twice. Am watching for another two lots to fly out of my account. Has anyone else had this?

I know the answers are probably to be found earlier on in one post or another, but I've seen so many apparently conflicting bits of info. I'd be grateful for any help.

Anyone who is now with V21 might find some help at the V21 forums. No staff there because there are none left, but lots of others in the same boat.

Hi everyone, - the saga continues! I was getting connected alright until this week, now allsorts of problems, a friend hasn't got connected at all as I have already reported. I'm definitely with V21 but can't now access their Members site to reply to a mail from them! I have thought all along that someone was sabotaging the change over, possibly disgruntled V21 staff, now I read they have all been sacked, - is this correct? If so it looks as if I might be right.

As for Martin Lewis helping us, - I wouldn't hold your breath! I sent an urgent e-mail directly to him yesterday and got a standard reply so re-sent it - no reply. I await a result with baited breath!!

P.S. I wouldn't dream of using the 0845 numbers they give, - I've already paid for unlimited use (that's a joke) why should I pay again, or any of you??

I don't think the V21 staff were sabotaging anything. They're the only ones who were left helping us out on the forum, even after they were sacked they were giving me advice.

If you're definitely with V21, you need to be emailing Biscit's support email address on their site.

Thanks for that Random. Have done most everything everyone else has done and more. E-mails not replied to via biscit. Agree V21 were helpful, but obviously unhappy, as I would have been - we'll never know what is/has really happened. Like some others I think Biscit are only really interested in Broadband users and maybe all the problems we are experiencing are sending us down that road??
