There is now a new recorded message on the Fast4 Customer Services (ha ha) line.
"....please note that we do not hold any account information for customers who joined before Oct 7th, please redial ....*...or wait to speak to the next available operator"
*[sorry, but I missed the number and wasn't going to pay twice for it! it could have been 0870 442 9600 which is the V21 customer services number]
When I tried the 442 9600 number, there's a recorded message saying the numbers changed to 08703830030 which I think we knew already. I dial this and then chose 'accounts' from the menu. Another recorded message asking me to leave a message, which I've done.
I've emailed NJP services explaning that the contact form doesn't work, and e-mailed (wet) Biscit to try and get some info.
What I am worried about is that I can't find any way of cancelling my account if I can't log onto a members area. In the terms and conditions, I think that this was the only route to close an account, and stopping the credit card / DD payments would result in an £80 charge which I agreed to by ticking the "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions box"0 -
ring 01276 411630 and speak to a very nice man who can help.
ensure that the cost is the same as fast4.net (ie £4.99 per month).
ensure that the contract type is the same as well (ie -monthly).
confirm username and password with nice man.
logon to v21 site.
off you go (hopefully).
p.s if you have been transfered to v21/biscit the freephone dial-up number is: 0808 99330250 -
I signed up with fast4 after reading a recommendation on MSE, to use for dialup while BT botch line installation, DSL activation and more. I now can't connect at all and their 087* voice message maze goes unanswered, so I am using an 0845 provider. It would have worked out cheaper to use someone reliable that I know personally, like ukfsn.org. Time for me to do the recorded cancellation letter/trading standards/bank shuffle to stop these fraudsters taking any money for their lack of service. It worked on Red Hot Ant all those years ago, anyway.
If anyone else wants another person for a larger complaint, PM me.0 -
Here are (once again) the two dial-up numbers.
08089933025
08089916234
If you signed up a while ago the first should work and you are with V21.
The second one is for anyone who signed up with Fast4 recently and that makes you with NJP services.

Stupidly I got a couple of friends to join up to Fast4 a week or two ago, - I had been with them for nearly 2 years after a recommendation by Martin, and was happy with the cheap £4.99 cost for unlimited dial up. Unfortunately one of my friends has had his account de-activated by V21 and like lots of you has spent a fortune on 0870 numbers getting nowhere.
Although I got a reply to a message, sent on his behalf, on V21 Member's page, they stubbornly refuse to telephone their de-activated customer, - get this, - asking me to give them all his details and security questions to get him re-connected!!! If it's the only way, I'll do it if he wants, but does he really want to stay with a company that has given him Nil service or access over the last week??
Apparently if your ID No. is before 200000 you are with V21 on the old Fast4 dial up number (unless they de-activated you by mistake!) after that number you are with the new Fast4 on a new dial up number, now costing £7.99.
Although I was transferred to V21 successfully, the connection over the last few weeks, particularly this week, has been awful, with line drop outs, user name etc., not recognised. I'll hang on for a while to see how it goes, but thanks to this thread it's nice to know I/we are not alone!
Good luck everyone,

This morning I can't log in under the old or the new number. My ID number is under 200000, so I suppose I should start trying the old number, rather than the new number. Why doesn't someone communicate with us. This lot really are a shower!
Didn't try to log on yesterday, so don't know what it was like.
Getting really pi**ed off now!

haven't been able to connect at all yesterday (and i tried both numbers continuously) or today
and absolute joke.
i really hope Martin will get involved in this to help sort it out!!!0 -

Just tried using the 01276 411630. Got a recorded message from a man with a nice voice saying the number had changed to 0871 433 3069. Tried that and got a message saying that number is for Biscit customers, V21 customers should call 0871 433 3129. Since I don’t know whether I am now a customer of anyone I rang off. Just for fun tried calling the old customer service number on 0870 225 1055 to find it engaged.
Neither the old 0808 9933025 nor the new 0808 99 16234 have worked for days. I had been using the new number and it seemed to have become fairly reliable when all access ceased (- currently using a 0845 number). My customer ID is below 200000 and my service commenced on 1st September.
Do any of these Fast4/V21/Biscit people know what they are doing???????0 -
is there any prospect of us recent fast4.net customers getting our connection sorted or are we stuck in limbo for good??0
