Ditto! Finally connected today after a few tries! This is becoming a complete joke  ! And with this poor service they've just billed me for another month's worth of sh*t connection!0 -

Biscit Issues V21 Update
London, October 17, 2006 – Communications service provider (CSP) Biscit today announces that it is making significant progress in upgrading the quality of V21's networks with new servers, and is well on target to completing the overhaul of V21's entire network backbone by the end of the month. Biscit completed the acquisition of V21 (https://www.v21.co.uk) earlier this month.
There is a discusion on ispreview about Biscit's terms and conditions on the V21 portal http://www.ispreview.co.uk/talk/showthread.php?t=22152
http://portal.v21.co.uk/index.asp?exec=terms
Does anyone know if these new terms are intended to apply to existing customers?0 -

Just had a look at this thread. It looks like V21/Biscit are in a real mess. You can't even activate the "cancel contract" button.
I have been trying to connect frequently all day without success - and like so many others, am having to use an 0845 payg number. This whole outfit is such a shambles it's difficult to predict how it will all end. Nothing seems to have been planned ahead, does it?
It's certainly trying so many patiences that even if it's sorted out soon, they must be in danger of losing most of their customers.

Who would have thought that regular users of the MSE site would find themselves so ripped off by Fast 4?
I logged on old number til 1130 yesterday then received reply (1 from 4 sent) from Sales Rep at Biscit who said I am now with V21 and should use the old number .....025 (which I had been doing) only after the 2 hour cut off couldnt re log again......ever!
Am now using Internet cafe and find email from an engineer D FIELD who says I am with BISCIT and can use any of 4 0845 numbers to log on til they sort out the V21 problems.
This is outrageous since payment of £4.99 went out 18 10 06 for another month (to same payee) and yet unable to log on at all for over 36 hours (on either number) plus have spent £s trying to get 24/7 help as boasted by HUGH PATERSON on the WELCOME TO BISIT page of his site....every statement he has made can only be seen as a LIE!
Who is to advocate for us? Trading Standards say 'write' and have done ASA say any website advertised UNLIMITED are not covered by their 'code' and OFCOM will not intevene. BBC consumer sites take the emailed complaints but do not follow up. So cannot MARTIN, our hero and originator of our confidence that the CONSUMER FIGHTS BACK stances, not assist.
This is surely a massive !!!! up to rival TALK TALK? Contracts not honoured, zero communication, promises/pledges proven to be groundless; and the BISCIT/V21/NJP/FAST 4 businesses just continue to entrap others without any redress????
SOMEONE HELP.
Signing off.........purse emtpy!0 -
I see there are a lot of unhappy Fast 4/ V21 users out there... I'm happy to report that after many days of problems i'm now enjoying 100% trouble free connection to V21 using the 0808 993 3025 number.
Fingers crossed everyones elses gets sorted soon.0 -

Joannej,
Just some questions, if you don’t mind.
Was the engineer from BISCIT or V1?
Did he give any indication of what these problems are? Or an expected timescale? Or whether they only employ trainees?
What email addresses did you send to and did you receive replies from those addresses?0 -
Capt_Slog wrote:What I am worried about is that I can't find any way of cancelling my account if I can't log onto a members area. In the terms and conditions, I think that this was the only route to close an account, and stopping the credit card / DD payments would result in an £80 charge which I agreed to by ticking the "I have read and agree with the terms and conditions box"
I was emailed https://secure.ispserve.co.uk/sec/file/customer_signup/terms.asp?a_code=fast4&smp_id=162&pt=24785 as the terms and conditions and they don't say anything about an £80 charge any more. ;-)
I'm sending a recorded letter to the address on my agreement and I'll dispute with my bank any further payments they try to take. If Fast4/NJP/Biscit/whoever do try to impose an £80 charge for cancellation when they've removed the only permitted cancellation route, then I'd feel pretty confident of that being judged an Unfair Term in a Consumer Contract. I've won against companies for less evil terms than that before.0
