Ok, it doesn't help a great deal, but why didn't they do this sooner?
Thanks for finding that, and you ask a very good question.
I don’t know the answer, but I do know that ‘engineers’ in an IT context usually means ‘programmers’ and a mess like this very often boils down to insufficient testing before putting a new system live. Failure to post basic information, as they have now belatedly done, is likely explained by embarrassment, denial and incompetence. When and if they get this sorted I shall be reading their terms and conditions very carefully.
They seem to think that the alternative to paying for a cheap dialup service is to obtain an expensive service. It isn’t. It’s to go to the library and use BB free for an hour per day.0 -
Biscit are offering a package deal on their website for phone rental calls and broadband at 19.99 for first 6mths and then 21.75 thereafter any body used this0

just had a 20min call from hugh Patterson. He is to put a clear message on the following v21 info site
http://v21status.biscit.net/index.php
stating that those with a a v21 account will NOT have their contracts altered - a customer can choose to start a new contract on bicuits terms or the old v21 contract will remain as it is - none of this scaremongery 14 days then you will default to a new £70 + £35 charge etc etc.
I said that from what I see , v21 flock is like a massive huddle of sheep quivering not knowing whether to jump or wait and that it seems a shame that for just a few clear precise words we could all settle down.
I said that human nature is suspicion of a new ceo but he is missing an opportunity of gaining our trust - hopefully tonight those words will set a clear agenda and prevent people needlessly jumping ship.0 -

Subject: Important!!Changes to Residential Broadband Offers
Date: Tue, 17 Oct 2006 14:03:26 +0100
As a valued new Biscit customer we’d like to advise you of the
following
changes to our residential broadband offers : etc etc etc......
(My Bold)
Now you can see where the confusion comes in.
Some people in Biscit already think we are NEW customers!
and of course the NEW restrictive Biscit terms are to apply to NEW customers
Several customers have spoken to Hugh Paterson and similar reassuring things have been said.
But until those words are added to the Biscit website as a statement, then that's all they are - WORDS!
I don't see any statement as of 1735 pm today0 -
Well I am very sorry that Stu and Paul are no longer there, they were very helpful indeed, no I was not told I had to pay anything to leave, according to my account info it says yearly contract, next payment 13 November, we shall see what happens then, however, when I signed up with Fast 4 I printed off the contract terms and conditions, but I have not been able to do that with V21 or Biscit. I was told on the phone at the beginning when they were changing me over that I could stay on the contract I have as long as I wanted to and there was no mention of paying anything if I changed my mind at some point.
I will NEVER put our phone with an internet company, and I cannot see why you are all worrying so much as although I am no lawyer, surely if someone puts you with another company without asking your permission etc, etc, they cannot hold you to a new contract unless you agree, therefore, it seems common sense to me that you would not have to pay anything to leave, why is Martin staying quiet?
What about Watchdog on BBC?

My apologies maraba - I thought it was a bit of a strange question, but I can see why you asked it now if you thought you were at the beginning of the thread. You have probably gathered by now that we are all a little bit pi**ed off with this shower!
