Yes, V21 dead as a dodo since yesterday afternoon!! As expected!
I decided to go Tesco Broadband as of yesterday and now have to pay dial-up until my new service is active, value package £13.97, which is fine for me.
Good luck to all fellow "sufferers" hope you find a better service than we have had for many months.

I've tried to find info about this, but the site keeps coming back with "403error, access forbiden". Perhaps they have had too many 'new customers' to cope with?0 -

There was a brief update on the Biscit saga at the very end of today's You & Yours on BBC R4. Hear it at http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/youandyours/ram/2007_12_mon.ram by scrolling forward to 50 minutes into the programme.

9933127 works fine with flexi. I don't think that it is a BT number. It appears to be free for flexi-surf members and probably v21. Yesterday all the numbers were too slow to make contact, and this morning. I'm now on 9933127, and it is working fine. If you look back on this thread, there are 5 or 6 alternative numbers to try. I have not been charged since November last!

Do you know which package this number is associated with?
Also, what are the DNS and smtp servers for this number?
It is not associated with any packages. It's used by engineers if a customer is having trouble connecting to an ISP.
It will work with any usrename and password. Try for example - biscit/sucks or v21/sucks or HughPaterson/sucks.
The smtp server is
smtp.bt.net0 -

When I use the 08089933127 dial-up number, according to this website, BT is the ISP.0 -
Surely any 0808 number has to "pass through" BT0

Does this mean that this number is a free way for anyone to connect? I've used it on and off for about 3 months (when the official numbers don't work - I'm on it now using flexi-surf (v21) logon details.
